Sahara One launches new soap 'Doli Saja Ke'

Sahara One Television has announced the launch of a new soap, 'Babul Ki Bitiya Chali — Doli Saja Ke', it will be aired from May 7 in the 10 pm block, from Monday to Friday. Following the success of its recently launched show Solhah Singaarr and Ghar… Ek Sapnaa, 'Doli Saja Ke' is a saga that traces Anupama's life and her struggle to gain the love of her father – Vikramjeet Kapoor.

Doli Saja Ke is the story of the young and beautiful Anupama whose birth unfortunately coincides with the death of her mother Kiran. The loss of his beloved wife leads Vikramjeet Kapoor to blame the newborn for the tragedy. Anupama grows up with the kalank of being a manhoos which is further fanned by her stepmother Maya and slowly, as she grows up, she too starts believing in the myth. While Anupama's step-brother Veer loves and respects her immensely, her step-sister Ridhima treats her like a lesser mortal. Another person who supports Anupama throughout is her father's old servant Badri Kaka. But Veer and Badri Kaka's love could never fill the gap left by the death of her mother and the indifference of her father.

Produced by Aroona Irani, who has shows like Zameen Se Aasmaan Tak, Mehendi Tere Naam Ki and Vaidehi to her credit, Doli Saja Ke is directed by Pawan Sahu. Barkha Bisht plays the protagonist – Anupama. Anuj Saxena plays Vikramjeet Kapoor and Jaya Mathur plays Maya Kapoor – Vikramjeet's second wife.
