Diya - creating an independent identity and being recognized by her work and as a person, not a rape victim.

Shaurya - recognizing himself to be a person outside of his father's shadows and learning to express every facet of himself rather than holding everything in.

This is something that I really look forward to happening on the show at some point.

Frankly Gurleen i think at some level Diya does love Shaurya, may be not as her man but yeah as a friend and support. After rape and betryal by own fiancee it is but obvious difficult for any girl to think about love again. Diya is not giving herself a chance to fall in love so soon. Shaurya has been supporting Diya throught and when this support changed to love, Diya is not able to see that love yet in his eyes ( God she must be blind though 😉 ) Shaurya himself just a week back refused to marry her since they both dont love each other. She has all the wordly pressures Damini, society etc etc. She is a strong girl but do you think a girl like Diya would want to put Shaurya in trouble after all the love and care he and his family have given her. She is herself hurting badly for hurting Shaurya. I think its only a matter of time before she falls in love with Shaurya on her own and as per the current track this may happen after marriage.

But i do want her to start working after marriage. I hope Shaurya is the one to suggest that to her.
