Ishaan coming back was expected. However Urmi and Ishaan romance is unacceptable.
Unacceptable for the following reasons:
DAK - highlights domestic violence - a sad brutal reality of society. Urmi's character after many moons has discovered the courage to fight back and separate herself from the monster she married. Right now we are watching Urmi's journey - from being an obedient, timid, docile housewife to a self-respecting, brave woman - standing up to societies hypocrisies and attempting to make a life for herself. This is the crux of the show - Urmi's coming of age - acknowledging that domestic violence in all forms - emotional, verbal and physical is unacceptable and after playing the part of an obedient wife when she could take no more she is trying to break free. We need to see this - we need to see Urmi standing up for herself (which she is now) and making her own path - not living life by what society expects of her for a change.
There are countless women who face the same situation Urmi faces/faced and for various reasons/pressures will stay in an abusive/unhealthy situation. Some feel they have no other option, some are pressured into doing so or some are too far into the cycle where they rationalize to themselves somehow that they did something to deserve this treatment - what ever the reason this show is highlighting how this behavior is unacceptable and a stand must be taken. This gives hope and courage to such women or at the very least shows them that this is wrong for them to accept this treatment.
In such a circumstance if we show Urmi - getting a new male lead and him romancing her and helping her through this fiasco - while that is nice and for the sake of TRPs that might happen - i don't think that is fair - then that sends out the message a) women always need a male presence
b) Urmi was able to get out of this Samrat fiasco because of Ishaan/romantic male lead c) to get out of such a mess a woman needs a man.
Now coming to the point of Ishaan specifically - Urmi really shouldn't entertain Ishaan's friendliness - Ishaan is part of the reason Urmi got into this mess - Ishaan knew about Samrat's nature and even when Urmi asked him she flat out lied and shielded his friend - strike one
Ishaan is Samrat's friend - i don't care how much Ishaan and Samrat hate each other now - Urmi needs to stay as far away as possible - how could she even think about trusting him - Ishaan broke her trust once - not to mention that if I were in her shoes - every time i see Ishaan i'd think of Samrat - its really hard to separate the 2.
Ideally Urmi needs to first become financially stable - it looks like she's headed down the path of becoming a baker - next she needs to divorce Samrat and get custody of Shaurya - that will be an ugly battle as we know Samrat is going to use his money and power to win.
Once all that is done her best bet is to move to a different city and start afresh.
