I am glad that they brought this topic up, because a lot of Indian families believe that bringing a baby into the house will change the energy and stop the problems. Babies do not bring people together, they forcibly pull people together. For an example, now that Urmi has had Samrat's child, she is going to be STUCK with him for the rest of her life. Their is no getting out for Urmi, and I feel like they trapped Urmi into this relationship, by making her believe that everything will be better after this baby was born. I think this serial, teaches people that no love, no baby can change a grown man.
I think this whole idea that unconditional love, and children can change people to be better is bull-shit. If you've grown up to have a certain way of thinking and certain habits, their is barely anything anyone can do to change them. This is the reality of many situations, any human being is going to be who they've always been. You can't just be a certain way for 20 plus years in your life, then suddenly change in a year or two. It takes your whole life to change habits, and ways of thinking.
No man/woman should be with someone, hoping to change them with their love ever. If that person has a bad heart to begin with, then it won't suddenly become good because you love them. People like that, don't have respect for anyone, and they won't suddenly gain it because you love and care for them.
Urmi has made a grave mistake in staying with Samrat. It is unrealistic for them to show Samrat all of a sudden becoming good because Urmi is a good person. When Samrat lives with so many nice people, and he doesn't get a tiny bit influenced by them, why would he ever get influenced by Urmi? I believe after a certain age point, people are going to be who they are going to be. Their is nothing you can do to change them, it all depends on them changing themselves. Never become co-dependent to someone's flaws, and try to change them. It will only come and bite you in the butt, and that is what this serial teaches you.
I know many of you are not happy with the way this serial is going, and it sucks to see Urmi get put down so much, but this is realistic. This is exactly how life is, and sometimes it is best to be selfish, then to keep sacrificing your happiness just to unconditionally stand by someone's side.
