I think this show, brings out a good lesson in the point that having a child will never change your husband! I think Urmi, should have aborted the child no matter what. It is the sad reality of Indians, that our parents usually want us to stick it out in a marriage, no matter how hard it is. I feel bad for Urmi, because her Dad, and Dadi were pushing her to go back home. They saw Samrat acting nice for a little bit of time, and they believed that the baby had changed him.

I am glad that they brought this topic up, because a lot of Indian families believe that bringing a baby into the house will change the energy and stop the problems. Babies do not bring people together, they forcibly pull people together. For an example, now that Urmi has had Samrat's child, she is going to be STUCK with him for the rest of her life. Their is no getting out for Urmi, and I feel like they trapped Urmi into this relationship, by making her believe that everything will be better after this baby was born. I think this serial, teaches people that no love, no baby can change a grown man.

I think this whole idea that unconditional love, and children can change people to be better is bull-shit. If you've grown up to have a certain way of thinking and certain habits, their is barely anything anyone can do to change them. This is the reality of many situations, any human being is going to be who they've always been. You can't just be a certain way for 20 plus years in your life, then suddenly change in a year or two. It takes your whole life to change habits, and ways of thinking.

No man/woman should be with someone, hoping to change them with their love ever. If that person has a bad heart to begin with, then it won't suddenly become good because you love them. People like that, don't have respect for anyone, and they won't suddenly gain it because you love and care for them.

Urmi has made a grave mistake in staying with Samrat. It is unrealistic for them to show Samrat all of a sudden becoming good because Urmi is a good person. When Samrat lives with so many nice people, and he doesn't get a tiny bit influenced by them, why would he ever get influenced by Urmi? I believe after a certain age point, people are going to be who they are going to be. Their is nothing you can do to change them, it all depends on them changing themselves. Never become co-dependent to someone's flaws, and try to change them. It will only come and bite you in the butt, and that is what this serial teaches you.

I know many of you are not happy with the way this serial is going, and it sucks to see Urmi get put down so much, but this is realistic. This is exactly how life is, and sometimes it is best to be selfish, then to keep sacrificing your happiness just to unconditionally stand by someone's side.

Exactly, you have said the right thing and the bottom line of what viewers were demanding to make samrat positive.
A person who has grown up with 28 or 32 years of egoistic life with no respect for women, how can he will ever change in a month or two. No never and is not possible. The rat mother is the sole reason for this. She bought him up and spoiled him. After 50 years of her life will shashi ever changed. No, then how can samrat change?

Trisha indicated and warned Urmi the same thing, but she did what she did. She committed grave mistake one after another. Now that she is tied up forever and live her life weeping .

this is exactly what i think... urmi's decision was right to abort the child... and even if not.. then she still can leave samrat and live with her child... if she wants a good bring up of her child.. this is not the era where a woman cannot live without husband.. she can work for her earnings..

This is a very nice post and so very true alot of people don't like this show because they belive the cvs Should make Sam change his attutide he is to rough, angry, every conversation has something hurtful in it but this happens in real life there are many persons like him and their wife, family are afarid to go against them. This show is an eye opener for many people espically the younger generation. I am in the minority but I love this show because it potrays life and yes I live in the west and if it was me in Urmi place I would of divorce him long ago and give him custody of the child start my life over get a job move out and away from opression of Sam her father and grandmother.
