First of all, apologies in advance if some of the facts in my post are not right.
I watched only the first few weeks (that too intermittently) of this ridiculous show and then stopped watching it as I found it to be highly regressive. Since then, I would come to the forum every now and then and read the written updates.
It seems nothing has changed and if anything things have simply changed for the worse.
Urmi definitely has no spine and I am saying this because its not that she is uneducated or illiterate. But, her family (dad and dadi) are the worst I think. Which family would keep tolerating such abuse and ask her daughter to keep tolerating such repeated abuse at the hands of her husband?
I am seriously not sure what the message of this show is except that the regressive mindset and antagonist WINS 99.999999% of the times and the protagonist SUFFERS for the same 99.999999% of the times.
There absolutely is no hope of ANYTHING good coming out of this show. And then the channel tries to protray Urmi as the NARI SHAKTI. They really have some nerve to claim that.
There are people who can claim that such families and people do exist. Okay, fine. But, isn't the goal of any show to show a balanced view or storyline. They have fed the viewers with CRAP for the last 4 months. Have they tried to even attempt or show what is the solution (if any) or what could Urmi do or how the situation could/should be tackled by someone in REAL life?
If there are indeed women like Urmi in real life, this should be the LAST show such women would want to see.
