No she should divorce him. You never stay in an abusive relationship (Verbal and Physical). Is that what this show wants young Indian women to take from this? If so, that's quite disgusting.

Forget about empowering women, this opinion of yours is highly backwards.

Would you stay with a man like Samrat? If your answer is yes, I feel really sorry for you.

The scene of Urmi with her father-in-law was completely hypocritical.

If he really believed that a mother can teach her child good "Sanskar" then why did he let SamRAT be the way he is.

Rearing a responsible child takes two good and level headed parents . While in the Rathore house there is one dictatorial tyrant and the rest are dumb residents that have no say or opinions that count.

And it is not a job of a wife to bring a change in a abusive bully that is an old Neanderthal thinking that went out with the Ice Age.

Urmi needs to come out of her fantasy and face reality and get out while she can.

Situations like these in real life get worse before they ever get better.

And some women lose their life trying. Sad but true because that is the reality .

Changing a person is highly impossible. The cvs cannot take the same unwanted track and make Urmi a sufferer.
That rat is horrible human, and person like Urmi will die living with him if she choose to stay in the relationship

I agree that one should never tolerate such behavior and Urmi should get a divorce from Rat.
But...
Blaming the CV's of this show for promoting negativity is very wrong!

They are just trying to show what happens in the real world. (With females)
How girls dream about their future husband in their teen age and how their dreams/expectations shatters!

This show is basically a reality check for all of us!

I am sure that, in future, they would definitely leave a good message for the viewers.

Don't judge already!

I'd like to weigh in on this topic. I'm not trying to offend anyone's sentiments/views so I hope no one takes this personally.
I think there are 2 sides to every situation. It's really easy for us as viewers - to say with surety this or that is the way to go - that's primarily because this isn't affecting us or a loved one directly.

Lets take a step back here - the topic maker wants to see Urmi taking an active role to bring about positive change in Samrat. This thought is nice - who wouldn't want to see "taming of the shrew" - those stories have been done on celluloid and small screen (in different variations and capacities) over time. The only point of difference that I can see between those scenarios and this is - you can only bring about positive change in a person when they are receptive to the positive influence and internalize it. Thats the same thing as bringing someone out of depression - no matter how much you try to show a depressed person the bright side - they will remain depressed until they personally want to see the positive side. It's the same principle here - Samrat is an egoistic, pig-headed, mean spirited person. People like that CAN NOT respond to positive change - they don't acknowledge that their behavior is wrong or inappropriate. To people like that - they think they are the norm and everyone else is either wrong or beneath them. So to get them to change is close to impossible as they think "i'm perfect/i'm right just the way I am - what are u trying to change?!"

So far CVs have shown us some realistic things - men like this do exist, women like Urmi also exist. In my opinion this show could prove ground breaking if they picked up the pace a bit more and show Urmi becoming more assertive (quicker) and making bold decisions and standing by them.

I was terribly disappointed when Samrat was ranting on and on about Urmi being a murderer etc - that was prime opportunity for her raise a voice and say why she did this (which she did eventually to her in laws AFTER Samrat left) but ALSO say - he's so fixated on having a boy - what if i have a girl - then what?!

In order to keep us viewers engrossed - they need to show Urmi becoming much more assertive and calling things out as she sees them and stands up to Samrat - I'm not pleased at how she just went back to him after the baby announcement party. Urmi should realize by now - Samrat is the same brute he always was - nothing has changed. She needs to decide what she wants to do SOON!
