- Chapter 11-
A few months had passed by. In those months, Raghu and I had grown a lot closer. He was so much more different than what I thought he was before. He was kind, sweet and very caring. He was a perfect friend.

Whatever had happened before, we had left in the past and had a brand new start.

One night, Riya was over and the two of us were talking.

"Antara, have you ever noticed the way that Raghu looks at you?" she says, plopping down on the couch next to me.

"What do you mean? Why would he look at me any different? I'm a normal person," I say. It was true. I hadn't noticed anything different.

"Antara, he stares at you like a love struck puppy. It's so obvious from the way he looks at you," she replies.

"What nonsense. He's just my friend," I say, picking up my drink from the table. "And besides, I've never noticed anything like that."

"That's because whenever you look at him, he turns away. I've seen him Antara. Every time in class, he's just looking at you like he's lost in you. The second you turn to him, he looks away."

"So what does that prove?" I ask, taking a sip.

"Antara, he loves you!" she says excitedly. I instantly spit out my drink.

"Love? Raghu? Me?" is all I say. "Riya, are you sure you're okay?"

"Antara, I'm fine. And yes! He really does love you," she replies.

"No way Riya. There's nothing like love. We're just friends."

At that moment, I didn't know who I was reassuring, myself or Riya.

"Okay fine. You don't believe me. See for yourself tomorrow," she says. "We'll see," I reply.

The next day, I meet Raghu when I bump into him.

"Sorry," I say, rubbing my head slightly. "It was my fault," he says, bending down. "I should be the one saying sorry."

"It's okay Raghu," I say, bending down next to him. "I'lll do it."

Before I can even reach for my bag, he's already put back the contents and handed it to me.

"Thanks," I say standing up. "You're welcome. Let's go to class before it gets too late," he says and starts walking.

He pauses and turns to face me again. "Are you coming?" he asks.

"Uh yeah," I say and walk with him. "So how's everything?" he asks, opening the door for me.

"Thanks. And everything is fine. Mom said that she would be coming this weekend. She wants to meet you," I say.

"Meet me? But why?" he asks. "Just like that," I reply. "Oh well, I would love to meet your mom as well."

I smile and we walk in and take our seats, waiting for our professor to walk in.

"Mom!" I say as I open the door. I give her a hug.

"Antara," she says, running a hand over my head. She gives me a kiss on my forehead as I break away from the hug.

"Guess who came to meet you," she says. "Who?" I ask, eager to know.

"Antara!"

I look behind my mom and see my cousin, Aditi, standing there.

"Aditi," I say and give her a hug.

I welcome everyone in and introduce Raghu to them. Everyone was excited to meet him and mom loved him.

Later that night, we were sitting for dinner when Raghu got a call.

He excused himself and went as far as out of the apartment to answer the call.

When he wasn't back in ten minutes, I left as well, saying that I needed to check on something outside.

"I can't do that. At least not right now. You have to understand."

I hear Raghu say that as I walk outside. I wonder who he could possibly be talking to.

I put my hand on his shoulder. "Raghu," I say softly. He turns around to face me. "Are you okay?" I ask, concerned.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Let's go in. Your mom must be waiting for us," he says and starts to walk towards the door.

After Raghu left that night, I spent some time with mom ans Aditi. Surprisingly, I was missing Raghu a lot. Maybe because I was so used to him being around me.

Later that night, I got an unexpected text from him.

You still up?
Yeah.
Do you wanna talk?
Sure :)
Can I call you?

I look on my side and see mom and Aditi sleeping peacefully. I quietly make my way out and reply to his text.

A minute later, my phone screen flashes his name and I answer the call. "Hey," i whisper. "Hey," he replies. I didn't need Riya this time to tell me how hot his voice sounded. I was admitting it myself.

"Raghu, I wanted to ask you something," I ask, hesitantly, unsure of his reaction. "Gi ahead, shoot," he says.

I take a deep breath.

"Why did you change your mind?" I blurt out.
