It was 7 pm.. Raghu, Machmach and Ruksana reached home..
Antara was sitting on the bed.. she heard the sound of door unlocking.. she got up.. but stopped because Raghu told her not to remove curtains and look outside...
but she was worried since he left in the morning.. plus.. Machmach called on his phone twice..
unknowingly, she moved the curtain aside a little and looked outside the window..
she saw a girl coming into the house and Raghu immediately turning his jeep and leaving with another guy..
they must be his friends.. she saw how Ruksana tried to stop him but he left...
she closed the curtain immediately and came back.. she wasn't feeling well since morning..
she took her medicine with tap water without eating anything..
she hugged herself and slipped on her side of bed.. an unknown fear was eating her inside..
almost 2 hrs passed..
she heard the sound of his jeep horn and again looked outside..she sighed in relief as she saw him stepping down from the jeep..
she closed the curtain and sat back on her bed in a room filled with dark..
after almost 5 min.. she heard his footsteps outside.. he unlocked the door and came inside..
he was mumbling something..looking for the switch in anger he patted here and there on wall..
she got up and switched on the light...the moment she saw him..her eyes got widened..
he again had a bottle in his hand.. his hair were messy..
his face and whole body was covered in sweat..eyes all swelled up..his wound was bleeding oozing out on his shirt..
his hands were stained in something like dust..she covered her mouth as she got scared of him..
he wasn't even able to walk properly..
Raghu closed the door and came inside..
are you scared?? he asked and chuckled..
lot of people are scared of me... but you??.. don't be... he nodded in no.. and tried to walk properly...
i won't hurt you.. he came forward and patted on her head..
i won't hurt you...he shook a finger and nodded in no.. he was barely able to keep his eyes open and look around..
she walked far from him and sat on the far corner of bed. she knew what he did for her.. and she could never repay him..
but the way he has been coming home for last two days and the way he has been reacting.. she got scared of him..
Raghu stood near the closet leaning his back on wall..
you know what... you should also be scared of me... i'm the worst person you will ever find in this world..
i can't forgive myself for what i did... he cried and said while choking in between..
today- today, i lost everything i had in this world.. everything..
and i'm the only reason of it.. i can't forgive myself.. he screamed and hit his fist hard in the wall..
Antara trembled with his state.. tried to reach for him.. but he shook her hand..
she pressed his shoulder (the other one) lightly..
Raghu.. she made him turn.. but took two steps back seeing his red eyes filled with tears..
she could clearly sense the anger and hatred he had in his eyes..
she composed herself and tried to talk to him.. she didn't forget how he composed her when she was in vulnerable state..
Raghu.. talk to me..
nah! you go to sleep.. sorry i disturbed you..
tell me.. what's wrong.. something has happened.. you were upset since morning..
go!.. go go.. he nodded in no and indicated towards bed..
i can't see you like this.. please.. she almost yelled at him.. she was scared of seeing him like this..
KYA HUA HAI..???. Raghu turned to her and shouted..
ABHI THODI DER PAHLE APNE BAAP KI CHITA KO AAG DE KAR AA RAHA HU... YE HUA HAI...!!!
he threw bottle on floor and all liquor spilled in all over the room..
AUR KUCHH PUCHHNA HAI... PUCHHNA HAI??? his eyes were burning with anger..
his wound was still bleeding and he was feeling dizzy..
apne daddy ko... he held his head and sat on floor leaning back on wall..
tears rolled down from his eyes.. and he cried as hard as he could..
apne daddy ko marta dekh kar aa raha hu...
Raghu outstretched his leg and glass pieces pierced through his skin..
Antara immediately cleared the floor from there with her hands...
he closed his swollen eyes and saw his father's face.. his pleading eyes asking him to trust him once..
for the last time..
he groaned in pain and hit himself hard in chest again and again..
Antara came forward and held his arm...
Raghu...you're hurting yourself..
tears flew down from her eyes seeing him like this..devastated..he wasn't himself right now..
she came forward and made him lean his head on her shoulder..
he tried to move back but she caressed his back..he held the corner of her kurta and whined in pain..
she took him in her embrace and gently brushed her fingers in his hair..
he hugged her tight making her hissed in pain as she herself wasn't well..
he dipped his head in her nape and cried..
i hated him all these years..
when he needed me the most.. i ran away from him.. i never tried to listen to him...
how could i do this to him.. he died because of me...
Raghu pulled himself out of her hug and constantly hit hard on wall..
i'll never forgive myself..
he leaned his head on the wall...Antara sat beside him and holding his arm she took him in her embrace..
he cried burying his head in her chest..holding her close to him..
she constantly rubbed his back and consoled him..
after crying for almost half an hour his whimpers converted into sobs.. and he lazily closed his tired and swollen eyes..
soon he fell asleep.. Antara tried to pull him out.. but he placed his head in her lap and dozed off holding her hands...
soon after, Antara heard footsteps leaving from there... she got worried if someone was out there who knows that she lives here..
once Raghu was asleep.. she moved back and tried to make him stand and walk without getting hurt with the glass pieces...she was scared as he was constantly mumbling in his sleep..
she made him lie on the bed and covered with spread.. she brought some hot water from kitchen..
grabbed all the cotton or cloth she could find.. and cleaned his wound..
he was drunk and fast asleep which made him not to feel any pain when she cleaned it..
she grabbed the tape from her drawer and bandaged his wound..
later, she cleaned the floor as the smell of liquor spilled all over the floor made her feel like to vomit..
she herself was feeling weak.. she cleaned the floor but smell was still there..
she went into the kitchen.. and slept on floor spreading her dupatta..
"he died because of me.". these words of Raghu echoed in her mind..
and that haunted night once again appeared in front of her eyes.. when her family was burnt alive in her own house.. "they died because of me..."
tears rolled down from her eyes remembering all the pain she went through when she watched them burning alive and getting herself raped..
her whole body shivered with the fear..
she got up and sat leaning her head back.. she looked at Raghu and felt a thump in her heart with his pain..
she stared at his barely visible face...
he saved me.. and took care of me...
when everyone abandoned me..she thought of her aunt.. he brought me home without caring about anything else..
she lay down and all random thought about Raghu's family came into her mind..
his father was in jail.. she chilled shivers thinking about his background.. but she recalled when Raghu said he was innocent.. he himself is so caring.. he can't be some criminal..
he doesn't deserve this.. perhaps someone made his life a living hell.. just like mine..
someone left us in a state where if you kill yourself.. you are coward..
if you live.. you die every second..
she kept thinking about all the things that happened with her in past 10-15 days and tears kept flowing from her eyes..
she kept staring at Raghu's side and dozed off later...

Raghu opened his eyes lazily as his whole body arched in pain.. he tried to get up and his wound started burning again..
he felt like if he saw a weird and horrid nightmare... he walked into the bathroom rubbing his eyes..
as he washed his face.. and looked into the mirror.. reality hit him hard..
and a lone tear dropped from his already swollen eyes..
his face was swollen.. hands were ruined in dust..
he recalled everything that happened a night before..
if he realizes then he was too close to his father..and he himself created distances between themselves..
he wiped his tears.. and washed his face.. his eyes were burning.. he hit a fist hard on the wall.. and clutched his teeth in anger..
I won't forgive Satya for what he did to you Dad! for what he did to maa.. or me..

"I want you to live a normal life... safe life..." his father's words echoed in his mind..
he wiped his face with towel and came out.. he smelled alcohol everywhere.. and he realized how much he drank last night.. but after he reached home..??
he immediately looked for Antara.. and found her sleeping on the floor of the kitchen..
he closed his eyes in disbelief.. he went to her and tried to pick her to make her sleep on bed.. but his wound did hurt...
he shook her a little and tried to wake her up..

he remembered the things from last night only in bits and pieces.. but wasn't sure.. what exactly he did..
he tried to make her stand up and brought her to bed and made her lay down.. after covering her with spread he went into bathroom to get ready..
he wasn't able to forget what Satya did and what happened with his family... but his father's words kept echoing in his mind.. his pale face and pleading eyes.. seeking for his only son's happiness..and making sure he was okay when he isn't around.. it kept appearing in front of his eyes..

he looked at Antara..and immediately checked her medicines.. she had them.. but she looked pale..
he cursed himself for being so ignorant..

he came back and kept all the food in kitchen and left a sorry note with the packet..
he locked the door and came outside..
Machmach was already waiting for him.. they both felt their heart wrenched as they saw each other..
Machmach had so much to ask to him.. because the way he left yesterday.. his condition was worse than anything..he was afraid if Raghu will hurt himself..
but seeing him now he thought it will better to stay quiet and not to bring up that topic further..
Raghu silently sat in the jeep.. and looked outside..
machmach looked at him..

he had almost 2.5 lakhs rupees in his account.. some of which was re-funded fee amount from his college or earned by himself while working under Satya or part time..

when Raghu came out machmach told moneylender to not to sell off the medal anywhere else as it means a lot to Raghu and he should not forget how much they both have done for him..
Meanwhile collecting the money.. Raghu got official papers ready.. and also machmach treated his wound..
when they reached basti.. it was about 8pm..
Raghu asked machmach to leave and wait for his call for tomorrow...
before leaving Machmach gave a hug to Raghu...
i'm proud of you bhai.. i have always been..
everybody makes mistakes in their life... but very few of them have guts to accept and then rectify them..

he gave papers to Raghu and left..
Raghu sighed and walked towards Satya's house with an anger, pain, moisture in his eyes yet calm expressions on his face..
as he knocked, a guard opened the door..
he greeted Raghu and Raghu nodded in yes..
he walked inside fearlessly as no one could ever stop him from entering at anytime..
once he reached in the hall he saw Satya having his dinner.. he asked Raghu to sit and wait for 5 min..
Raghu nodded and sat on near by couch..
he looked at Manohar who brought water for Satya and he clutched his teeth in anger..
"Manohar killed Jyoti.." his father's words echoed in his mind.. he closed his eyes and took a deep breath..
after 5 minutes Satya called Raghu.. he seated on a chair...
tell me Raghu.. what is it..
it's been a while you came here.. last time also, you sent Machmach to handover those papers..

Raghu nodded in yes..

he immediately wiped it off and sighed..
a cold expression appeared on his face.. "i won't let it affect my life or her life.. but i'll take my revenge in my own way... even if i won't kill them with my bare hands but i'll make sure they rot alive in hell.."
he was tired, shattered and disappointed after all the incidents that took place in past 2 days..
but he was glad that two friends like Machmach and Ruksana were beside him..
he came inside the house and knocked Ruksana's door..
Raghu! she got worried as she saw him.. it was the first time he actually knocked her door..
Raghu looked at her with a fake and pale smile on his face..
sorry about yesterday Ruku.. I know i was a mess.. i have been a trouble for you as a tenant.. he chuckled..
she came forward and gave him a hug..
it's okay.. she caressed his back and brought him inside her house..

she nodded.. after he left, Antara thought if it is possible.. everything what he said.. could that be possible..
when Raghu came back.. he took one pillow and lay down on the floor.. Antara gave him her bedsheet saying that she has the mattress..
she dozed off after a few minutes as unlike last night she had peace in her heart that he wasn't hurt...
while sleep was far from his eyes...
he texted machmach to find information about Antara's college, everything about her studies and her image in college.. no one should know that someone is trying to find info about her..
the moment Machmach saw the message.. he called Raghu..
Raghu picked the phone..
bhai.. what is all this..didn't you say you will stop everything once you leave Satya's gang..
this has nothing to do with him Machmach..
bhai.. even if it's not. it's still dangerous.. have you forget how much blood was shed that night..
my wound hasn't healed yet.. machmach.. so i know..

Raghu looked at Antara one last time and closed his eyes trying to sleep..
