Chapter 3Antara parents return from the bazar and see the broken glass. They question antara about it...
Mr. Kaul:- "antara beta yeh glass kaisay tota???"
Antara:- "papa woh... Kuch logon ki larai ho rahi thi raghu "bhai" kay sath... Toh usi dekha dekhi mein yeh kanch tot gaya.."
Mr. Kaul:- "ohhh acha.."
Mrs. Kaul:- "yeh toh inka roz ka hi hogaya hai.. Bohat shor hai inka" while taking groceries to the kitchen.
"Aik din aisa nhn jab yeh shor na karein".
Antara:- "rasika uski behan ai thi... Yeh pasta day kar gai hai.. Woh toh bohat hi sweet hai".
Mrs. Kaul:- "acha main us say aik bar hi miley hoon.. Behan achi hai toh bhai ki harkaton ki kia justification uskay agay".
Antara and Mr. Kaul make a frown face.
Antara:-" mama ko toh mauka milna chahyai.. Chaliyai papa khana khatay hain main ready kar chuki".
Mr. Kaul:-"haan chalo beta aur waise bhi subah ishu kay school jana hai admissions check karnay".
Everyone agrees and moves towards the table.
At Naik SadanRasika takes machmach and raghu to home. She was applying medicine to raghu when he noticed a small cut on machmach hand.. He tells rasika to put medicine on his hand too. Rasika is nervous where machmach is very happy. Rasika starts to put medicine woth her eyes full of tears. Machmach gestures him not to cry. In all this, Mrs. Sheela Naik enters wearing a maharastaran saree carrying a tray in her hands with two glasses of milk. She keeps the tray and turns towards raghu with an angry look.
Mrs. Naik:- "raghu.. Kitni dafa tumhay kaha hai in sab chezon say door raha karo... Ab dekho khud ko bhi chot lagi hai aur bechara machmach woh toh har dafa bohat bura pitda hai..."
On hearing this both Raghu and rasika starts laughing while machmach is all confused on her statement.
Machmach gives an angry look to rasika who immediatly stops laughing.
Whila raghu keeps on laughing and after a while says.
Raghu:- "aray ai.. Yeh sab kabhi bhi start na hta agar satya apnay kuttay yahan na bhejta. Usji wajah se yeh sab hota hai ai".
His talk was interrupted by mrs.naik who pulled his ears real hard.
Mrs. Naik:- "apni zuban ko kabo mein rakho raghu."
Raghu:-" aray ai mera kan toh chor dard horaha hai".
Mrs. Naik leaves his ear and orders him to go to his bedroom. And then tells rasika to leave machmach to home and come back. Tgey both felt real happy as they can spend some time together.
They both left. While mrs. Naik called raghu's dad and informed him about it.
On the way, rasika kept asking machmach whether it is paining still. Machmach makes a small plan to tease rasika.
Machmach:- "tumhay is say kia keh mjhay dard horaha ya nahin? Tumhay toh maza araha tha jab wahan mijhay mar pit rahi thi!!".
Suddenly it starts raining and rasika stops on hearing this from him.
She makes a sad face.. Tears starts flowing from his eyes.
Rasika in a broken voice says:- " nahin machmach tumhay chot lagi dard mjhay hwa!! Tum jantay ho keh main tum say kitna pyar karti hoon"!!
On hearing this machmach stops and looks at rasika who is crying badly. He takes her face in his hands and wipes his tears.
Machmach:- "janta hoon main... Aray ro mat main toh masti kar raha tha. Bhai kay samnay toh kar nhn sakta tu toh janti hai".
Rasika hugs him tightly and machmach returns the hug.
Machmach:- "acha chal ab ghar ja kafi rat hogai bhai ayr aunty rah dekhtay hoon gain".
Rasika agrees and leaves but then she remembers and come backs and give a soft kiss on machmach cheeks and runs away. Machmach gets confised and happy at the same time.
Where as raghu is standing in his balcony as his mother told h yhat rasika went to leave machmach. He sees rasika returning and goes to his room.
On the other hand, antara is not able to sleep as she was hell tired but she was not able to because of new enviroment and noises of dogs barking, a local train passing.
She was feeling restless when she heard a soothing sweet voice which made her good. She was lost in tune and she dozed off.. It was raghu who was playing his MouthOrgan. He does that nearly everyday. But today when he played the MO.. He saw her face infront of eyes and suddenly he said in a lower voice "Antara". Lost in his raghu just dozed off.
The next morning, antara mom came and she put the curtains aside and asked antara to get up as tgey have to take ishan for school admission. Antra woke up rubbed her eyes. She went to get fresh up. After getting freshed up she came to her balcony. Raghu was already awake and was stunned again when he saw her. Water dripping from her hairs, a beautiful innocent face which made her forget the world.
Antara heard her mother calling and she ran inside. Raghu was still looking at her. She went away...
After a while machmach came and told raghu that there is some work at the garage. Raghu leaves for the garage.
Antara with his mother and father goes to ishan's school where they tell that the admission test will be held soon and gives ishan a syllabus to learn for the test. Antara returns home while his dad hoes for some work. And antara's mom getbusy with her daily chores.
Antara starts ishan's preparation for exams... Antra gave ishan to solve some problems for maths when she heard loud music coming from outside.
Ishan was getting disturbed.
Ishan:-"didu, humara kashmir kitna acha tha na wahan toh garden mein bhi itna shor nhn tha jitna yahan is ghar kay andar hai".
Antara:-" choro ishu tum problems par concentrate karo".
Ishan:-" kaisay karoon didu nahin horaha concentrate".
Antara waits for about 1 and half hour. But the music gets louder and louder. Antara gets tired of it and goes to the balcony and see from where the music voice is coming. She was suprised to see that naik sadan was looking like a marraige hall with big sound systems. Raghu and other boys were standing, chatting and drinking. Raghu sees her standing in the balcony. He again feels that time has stopped. He kept looking when machmach pats his shoulder and says.
Machmach:-" bhai kia dekh raha hai?"
Raghu:-" haan ... Kuch nahin woh aisay hi.."
Antara goes inside and tries to call rasika from ishan's bedroom balcony but she doesnt answers.
Antara gets hell annoyed. It was 11pm when antara decide them to pay a visit.. She in full anger goes to naik sadan. Raghu was still trying to find her when she steps out.
Raghu was not able to see her as she moved fast. He was still looking at her balcony with a confused expression when he hears her voice.
Antara:-" excuse me".
Raghu turns and sees her standing near to him. His heart skips a beat.
Antara:-" kia ap is music ka volume kam kar saktay hain".
Machmach:-" ay tu kon hai ray!?? Teri himmat kaisay hui yahan anay ki??? Aur volume woh kam nhn hoga.Yeh humari basti hai volume itna hi rehta hai.. "
Antara with an angry face moves towards the controller and lowers the volume.. Antara comes back abd faces machmach. Raghu was able to see her from the right side.
Antara:-" agar yeh apki basti hai toh khayal rakhna chahyai basti walon ka bhi... Raat kay 11 baj rahay hain.. Itnay volume par music sunay gain toh apka bhi kam hojaya ga aur basti walon ko bhi sakoon rahay ga".
Saying this she starts moving.
Machmach:-" bhai ap bolay q nahin".
Raghu who was still looking at her go says:-" bada dam hai ray is mein.. Hum itne saroon mein aakar volume kam karkay chali gai.. Different hai.."
Chalo done with today...
Pata nahin kia lekha... Ready for chappals tamatar...
