yes holy month of ramadhan is celebrated in my country too.. which includes events and festivals.. celebrations are uniquely-Malaysian tradition of open houses, adding to festive cheer..

Your description of Malaysian celebrations of Ramadhan reminded me of my home town . Sadly I am far away from it. Here we just fast and stay lonely at homes. No celebrations, no festivals.
