Star Plus' No.1 show Diya Aur Baati Hum, is all set to bid adieu to the television screens after enjoying a successful journey of 5 years. Over the years, the show did not deviate from its original plot, of the husband and wife walking together hand-in-hand in life as equals where both of them juggled between their personal and professional lives.

The show, showcased many such situations where Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh) stood by each other during their worst times and came out of complicated situations successfully and stronger than ever. The audience will now get to witness this situation for one last time. Here is a glimpse of how the show will end. It is already in the news that Sooraj and Sandhya will breathe their last in the final episode.

The climax promo of the last episode of the show is out already and we must say, it is shocking. Sandhya and Sooraj jump off a cliff into the waters. Sandhya strangely thanks Sooraj for being there for her in all crucial moments of her life, even in this one. Saying so, she floats away from her husband.

It is then discovered that Sandhya has a bomb fitted at her waist. The next scene then focuses the Police Commissioner and the complete police force saluting the tricolor and martyrs of the nation. This clearly indicates that both Sandhya and Sooraj have sacrificed their lives for the well being of their family and the country.

The promo, was visibly shocking and heart wrenching. We say so. Because even though this is common knowledge now that the ideal couple Sooraj and Sandhya would die, watching it happen takes the news to another level. And what we loved the most was that the makers did not forget to keep the essence of their show alive in its most crucial moments.

On a farewell note, Diya Aur Baati Hum, changed many a perceptions about the content on television. And for the same reason, we will miss the show.
