Promo Review: The climax of Diya Aur Baati Hum

Star Plus' No.1 show Diya Aur Baati Hum, is all set to bid adieu to the television screens after enjoying a successful journey of 5 years. Over the years, the show did not deviate from its original plot, of the husband and wife walking together hand-in-hand in life as equals where both of them juggled between their personal and professional lives.
The show, showcased many such situations where Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh) stood by each other during their worst times and came out of complicated situations successfully and stronger than ever. The audience will now get to witness this situation for one last time. Here is a glimpse of how the show will end. It is already in the news that Sooraj and Sandhya will breathe their last in the final episode.

Sandhya strangely thanks Sooraj for being there for her in all crucial moments of her life, even in this one. Saying so, she floats away from her husband.
It is then discovered that Sandhya has a bomb fitted at her waist. The next scene then focuses the Police Commissioner and the complete police force saluting the tricolor and martyrs of the nation. This clearly indicates that both Sandhya and Sooraj have sacrificed their lives for the well being of their family and the country.
The promo, was visibly shocking and heart wrenching. We say so. Because even though this is common knowledge now that the ideal couple Sooraj and Sandhya would die, watching it happen takes the news to another level. And what we loved the most was that the makers did not forget to keep the essence of their show alive in its most crucial moments.
On a farewell note, Diya Aur Baati Hum, changed many a perceptions about the content on television. And for the same reason, we will miss the show.Your reaction

This is torture and the real thing is that DIYA AUR BAATI HUM WILL ALWAYS REMAIN FOR SOORAJSANDHYA PORTRAYED BY ANAS RASHID AND DEEPIKA, yes loads of things can change, seasons can come and go but the truth will remain the truth and yes DIYA AUR BAATI HUM IS ANASDEEPIKA AND ONLY THEM as they have proved it, at least for all fans

as a fan of DABH myself, I feel the show should have ended in a positive note with sandhya achieving her dreams with sooraj's help...or maybe at least till vedh and vansh were born and family rejoicing. But unfortunately they drag it with unnecessary police plots and parallel leads plot which actually brought the trp down... and now they are ending it with a sad note, so that they can start season 2 with their kids stories...very unfair to fans

This was a good show with a storyline that deviated the least but also let down by stupid acting. Would have had the chance of being the best show in indian tv history if they had good actors. It also stayed much much longer that it should have been. Thankfully its over now . Now topi bahu and naitiiik should end soon too.

It was one of the serials with an absolute distinctive identity; trials and tribulations of a working women esp ISP and how important it is to have husband as life partner and family support. Very rarely did it lose its plot. Time to bid adieu to a good serial at a right time !!

Yay! One down and hopefully more to follow.. We need new shows, new stories and new chemistries... DABH was a good journey but it's time to say goodbye!
