In fact we have earlier read as well that CVs have met women IPS officers across and have taken feedback regards the process and difficulty they go through. They have travelled across the states for the same. I think what they have shown is through practical experience of one or more of them...
so for me it was good one...

Glad to read the opinions / perceptions about last nights episode. ALL points well taken.😊
May be I missed on something...The interview started on a good note...dress code violations...but once Sandy told the reasons of her dress code, the interviewers kept on harping on the topic of how RP could come in between Sandy and her duties...how RP members might use Sandy's influence...etc etc...well isn't it the nature of humans to feel a bit superior and brag about the relation he / she has with one of their very own holding a prestigious post???? Why interviewers are worried about power misuse by RP members??? This mindset did not go down well with me...hence the whole topic...

Then they ALL seem surprised to hear that Suraj is a HALWAI...what was that nonsense?? Interviewers have no right to be surprised or happy on what job the significant other does...

Convince me about the two facts I am worried about here...

1) Why interviewers are worried that RP will misuse Sandy's power when the same is a Universal fact for anyone aspiring to hold a prestigious and powerful post? Why Sandy is being singled out??

2) Why interviewers were surprised that Sandy's husband is a HALWAI?? Don't every soul have the right to aspire for UPSC?? Or UPSC is reserved is for those whose significant others hold better positions in Society instead of halwai, chaprasi, rickshawwala??

@Tpji this is my take. On point 1) Sandhya broke the dress code for her family. So tomorrow if some other issue comes and family tries to take advantage of her position how will she react.
Point 2) pretty clear yaar. Not everyday they see a wife of Halwai Chaprasi or even that of a bank manager coming to attend an IPS interview. We can also see in their reaction something called a perception bias. I mean we as an individual has so many biases. We expect only x things and when something comes out of ordinary or not according to societal norms that surprises us. That was all to the second reaction when they heard Sandhya's husband is a halwai
