Ya Shobhana, Sandy has to have problems. That is always the USP of the show. So CVs are giving her many problems in one shot, to challenge her further...and also challenge their own brains. They are free to show whatever they want. But I can also choose not to watch. I wont go into all the bad and confused ways they have shown the Christian pov. They are free to do what they want.

@umaji why u always suggest nuclear family?😕 its k u & rama ka wanted a same track.😆

Shobhana you love Bhabo isn't it ? Did she not set up a nuclear family breaking away from the village family. I am only suggesting what Bhabo likes...😆 You said Bhabo is fair. If she is than the same nuclear family principle has to apply to sons as well. You cannot have one principle for yourself and one for your sons. I did not suggest for SurYa or ViMina. Since Emily has been brought up under a different faith and different set of values to maintain peace and harmony in the family this is the best solution to my mind. We both know they won't do it as for TRPS they need drama and drama possibility is only there if Emily stays in RM.😆

paddy aunty are u trying to say that no christians like emily's family live in this country?
Another question they showed a character like mohit who exist in this world then why not such family?

Uma ji i asked u a personal question but u brought in bhabho here. K fine i will answer. Yes bhabho is wrong in doing that ting if she has done it. (still i'm not clear whether she is the reason).

we wear sari, not gowns. i was born and mostly bred in the west, but our westernized ways have a limit. even if we marry a westerner, we wear sari to church. but yes, our men wear full western. women wear sari. girls wear dresses of decent length.

immediately after church ceremony, we change outfit for the reception. Tamils generally wear a red sari. Veil is taken off. We don't go and sit on the bed last thing at night with the same white sari/gown and veil. In Western Christian weddings they do dance the wedding waltz in bridal wear and sit at the reception too. But they change into a 'going away' outfit as they leave the reception last thing.

We eastern Christians do often have the waltz and other couples join in too. But we also then have a big bhangra type dance after dinner! ...usually to Bollywood songs.

BUT I keep saying Shobhana...CVS can show whatever they want. Not my problem.

Regarding my personal views on joint family, I am ok with in laws staying with us but all brothers under one roof is not my cup of tea. It can lead to a lot of bitterness in finances and other issues. It is better to stay separate and maintain cordial relations between all the brothers. Parents are our responsibility and they can either choose to stay with one son or rotate, the choice is totally theirs. Only in laws is not really the definition of a typical joint family. So from that definition point of view where all brothers stay together I am not for it. I would prefer a nuclear family with inlaws .

I would like to see a track with "nuclear family"! I get why CVs are holding so tight on keeping RM together…TRPs! But, they can show nuclear family for a period of time (as suggested by Umdu). There can be a lot to show (RM and nuclear family simultaneously) without losing the interest of the audience.

Interesting angles could be treated there: Bhabho facing the reality: society is changing! Is beyond her power! What will she chose: to stay away from son and grandchild instead of admitting that this behavior is nonsense? She has a heart! (at least this is what I assume!).

Mohit, hopefully, will figure out that now he is on his own and he needs to take responsibility for his own deeds. He may also realize what a great support SurYa has been to him when the two continue on supporting him (emotionally, not financially!)

As much as I liked Bhabasa's intervention when Bhabo wanted to through SurYa out, I thought it would have been a good lesson to see what Bhabo would do when Suraj (the family pillar-financially and emotionally) is not around anymore! I guess, if that was the case, then all the "mean" family members would start pleading to Bhabo for SurYa….at least Meena (she would be terrified at the thought of supporting family expenses on her own!)😆

Sometimes we don't know what we have until we (are about to) lose it!

@alexxa I agree with your last point. What will Bhabo do if Sooraj is not there. The only way to mend her ways and crush her ego is the fear of losing Sooraj. Currently she only thinks of Sandhya's failure as post that she can control the household and Sandhya too. I mean she knows her ladla Sooraj will accept the verdict and will try to be happy in that verdict.
What if Sandhya's failure mean Sooraj's relationship with his mother going for a tailspin. I mean if she understands that through destructing her bahu's dream she is slowly and surely destroying her relationship with her son only then she will start mending her ways.
CVs should slowly but surely take this approach is what I feel. For that Sooraj character has to open up more, be more assertive. I am not expecting this in one or 2 days but this is the only way bhabo can be changed. Not through bhasan or something at the end of the show.

I never actually thought we would get such a track which would revolve so much around Mohit and his gf.. I don't think there was any need of him getting married at this point in the story when they have so many tracks to deal with ..If i was the CV i would have not shown emily pregnant , instead it could be that she dumped Mohit after knowing his real intention .
I don't like this idea of IR marriage and all
