Guyz, I am taking this to mean that he will come back as SP or get promoted to SP from DSP and then mentor Sandy. If there was to be a leap, we would have probably heard.

No Deebz that is not possible as there is a rank in between DSP and SP that is ASP ( additional supt of police or additional DCP ) Ranks cannot be surpassed and there is no system of double promotion.

Uma, You know that and now we do. But do DABH cvs know that? Could be one of their countless bloopers😃 .As an aam aadmi, it is logical expect a DSP to be promoted to SP.

my friend dsp works under sp...so how can dsp appoint sp..and ips are not appointed by any officer they are selected by ias exam

Thanks a lot for sharing.
I am literally shocked after seeing the article, and confused as well.
I don't think the IPS track will be fast-tracked like that, it is the main track and will be continued slowly I guess.
