There are so many ways to bring out the scenes well, to develop the emotional bonding, to increase the emotional proximity. The CVs haven't really disappointed me so far and I am hoping, they do not, in future as well but yes, they need to take it a bit slow. Audience isn't really in hurry to get done with the show.
