I agree.......my parents never said anything when she wanted to marry that English guy........but they were disappointed...it was her parents who totally freaked out!But I'm happy that she is now marrying Aditya da...a Bengali like us..........no probs then. She made us all mad about her wedding......she's quite choosy you see...........thank God I am the only child.......LOL........hope I get back home soon...its very hot here.

But I don't find anything wrong with interracial marriages. Rather, I find them really cute and romantic. ☺️ ☺️

It is hard, for the family and all. Especially if a Hindu marries one who is not a Hindu. Since the man is the dominant figure in the family, all Hindu traditions will pretty much be lost to western culture. Your kids will have to take his religion, well they can choose, but most take their father's religion. The loss of culture that would take place makes me so sad :/ And especially if your family does not approve, to separate from them is a bigger loss than a loss of love (for me).
Especially for Brahmins like me, if we married a white man we would have to deal with our husband eating meat, or cook meat for him, and that is one of the greatest sins a Brahmin can do :(
Sorry if I offended anyone, really. It's just I am a very religious person 😆😆

I'm totally unreligious...well lets just say I'm an aethiest!!!
Your points are right, but I feel the women are the biggest factor in a family...seriously...we women take all the hardships.!!!
But in MJHT MN got married against family issues too, but I *think* u supported them right?
Well Im no brahmin but I'm a veggie by my own wishes coz I think nonveg stinks *ewwww*

^ Well in MN case I did not support how they "dated" before marriage because that is also wrong. But I supported how they got married because Nups father asked Mayank to marry her!
Also Mayank was of same religion and culture and better than the previous man Nups was chosen for! LOL, so cultural differences wouldn't have come into conflict here ;)
I think women/men should be equal in a household. Women take the hardships of housework and giving birth (ouch!) while men work for the family and are usually physically stronger.

You don't agree to dating either? 🤣
Wow you are so traditional Aish!!!!
I don't believe dating at an age like ours coz we are not emotionally mature yet!!
But once you are 20 or so I guess it's right!!
I'm this super hardcore feminist, so I'm all in for women rights!! I know that no man can force me to do anything I don't want to!!

You are really traditional yaar!!!
But lemme tell u one thing, I'm this ultra rebellious teenager but my views might differ from yours LOL.
I believe only in that "true love" concept. I believe true love can happen only once. You can fall in love only once. The rest are infatuation....somehow for parents in India status and name in society come before their child's happiness. So they don't agree to them marrying a person they like.
