@Cat, Aarti n Sareeta.. its ok guys, everyone has different way of looking at things...and opinion differs from person to person..😊

@Cat, me n Trina try our best to close/move the topics but then members get back to us saying why did we close them.. and we have to listen to there rude comments..but that doesnt bother me as I got used to it...well, the problem is DMG is so active that there are so many topics and its difficult monitor each n every topic..

Anyways the development team will come up with some standard rules for this section soon..

@ sunita...i can understand how tough your job must be...really!!!! which is why i believe that to expect the moderators to this dirty job of closing topics all the time is unfair. even if you are used to the nasty comments, honestly how many topics can u look at? instead it is imporatnt that each of us feels the need to make this forum a cleaner and a more legally non-antagonaistic place for all of us. it has to be something internalised by each member. we owe it to the moderators who work sooooooo hard!!

sunita, i think some of my work and sareeta's and others have enough value in them to merit a copyright. if we were to start actually using copyright laws, it could get nasty. am sure being moderator, u know that none of us actually clutter the forum with repititive or stolen ideas. we genuinely contribute to the quality of this forum and i think it is in our right if we feel people just lift ideas off our posts and pass them as their own.

we, of our own accord have never ever posted a help topic anywhere apart from the help desk. we have never repeated topics and if we have something to say that can incorporated in another post, we do just that! i think our past record should speak volumes on where we stand on forum policies.

i again re-iterate my gratitude for your support and for understanding our position. and as an expression of that gratitude to you and the team, i will now stop with my incessant posting on this topic.

all the best with your efforts and i hope you understand that we are forever on your side, to help the moderators better this forum and improve its quality.

Aarti, I really respect each one of u for contributing ur valuable thoughts to this section.. and I must admit that due to time constraints i couldn't read some of urs n Sareeta's post.. but whatever I have read, i can comment that ur topics are very unique with great control over vocabulary and pleasant to read.... u definitely have an impact on the readers with ur write up..

At the same time Kat's FF's are unique and they are fun to read...

So each one of u are valuable to this section and I didnt want any misunderstandings between u guys..😃

no problem at all.. u dont have to thank me beacuse we are here to help each other..

and honestly I never found u guys spamming the section.. I already have the names in my mind and u guys are no way near to it..so no need to even check the past records..

Thank u for bringing this topic and co-operating with us...this topic infact is helping us to get rid of the junk topics...

Sunita I totally agree …but I'm now used to the name-calling and back handed snide comments seriously they don't effect me!!… I have been here 2 years and seen much worse posts.. I would not be catwoman now would I 😉lol…

I guess we have DMG to thank really as the shows popularity has made this forum very active… As a member I know how hard the dev team here work to ensure everything is fun and the forum is attractive to all members passing by. As we have some many members coming here, we will have members thinking the same and creating repetitive topics.. Its only natural as we all have similar backgrounds but different posts of views on certain issues… I firmly believe that the diverse community we are all from discussion and different view points only enriches our way of thinking… there are no rights and wrongs…

My initial post state I agree but we must not discourage new members from posting ..we simply need to advised them that the topic has already been opened before and we can discuss the issue there.

I remember opening a Dr Ridz anti bashing post where I challenged many users … in the end we all discussed it and aired out what we felt.. I was happy members posted with there comments as we all saw a different point of view… Later I was informed by a member they opened a similar topic …where I apologised for not seeing it as I would have participated there instead. I guess we may just need to be vigilant really.

Any how I have no resentment towards any members… Never have and never will!

Kat😳

Guys, people have, and *should have*, different opinions on everything; it doesn't mean that one party is wrong and the other is right. While I support the position that this post is taking, I also agree with Trins, Sunits & Kat that we should try to minimise the damage done to the traffic coming on the section. By making any harsh statement - either way - we shouldn't alienate any one group of posters. These things can be dealt with in a dignified manner and should be done so in that respect. Just my two cents 😛 .

@ psawyer...as long as everybody attempts to be dignified i have no problem and no trouble being dignified. but if some members repeatedly insist on going on the offensive then i have no option but to don my defensive armour either.

i do not want to discourage new members ever and i don't think any new member got that sense our of this post, on the contrary, some have even contributed to making the forum a better place!!

i think new members perhaps see more sense in this than do veterans!!

I agree Sunita, Aarti and Catwoman both make a positive impact on this forum with their respective contributions. I don't find as much time as I would like to read every post and fanfic, but I appreciate the time and effort involved in their creation. At the end of the day, it's a fictional show and we all know that. We all have one thing in common, we love DMG.

I do see where you are coming from but then again making generalised statements like that is not exactly conducive to a dignified solution either, is it? I don't see any reason for that comment since I, being a veteran, as you say, have not in any way failed to understand your post and the point of it in this and the wider forum; and no other member has responded negatively in between my comment and yours. I think we should steer away frommaking such generalised statements and sort out any personal problems via PM. The point of your post is to highlight an issue that is getting many members down - let's not turn this into a fight club😊.

@ psawyer, i definitely didn't mean you...but again, when others want to make their disapproval public, we do have the right to disapprove. if you have noticed, i have not got into any confrontational post after responding to the first two. i refuse to acknowledge bitterness.

i am sorry if you felt that i was generalising. not meant it that way and definitely not in reference to you!! but the post before yours to which i refuse to respond directly, because of the antogonistic stance, clearly flourishes the amount of time spent here on the forum....

i respect all moderators for their irreplaceable contribution and every other senior member on the forum. actually i respect every member, senior or not, as long as they respect our intellectual and creative property and our right to protest if we consider it in danger of being plagiarised!!
