The airplane is the best place to indulge in your favourite guilty pleasure! For bookworms, that means taking a break from Russian literature or its British kin and indulging in some racy suspense thriller, bodice-ripping romances or of course, the comics. Here are some celebrities talking about the favourite airplane reads...
Shraddha Nigam, TV actor: Since I am busy setting up my fashion line, these days on a flight I mostly read books on design, current fashion and business. And back in the day, I remember reading a lot of Harry Potter during my train travels. It was an absolutely delightful read!
Mrinalini Sharma, TV actor: I am a huge fan of mystery novels and crime thrillers and I am tripping on Harlan Coben, the American novelist right now.So of late I've been reading his book Long Lost which is the ninth novel in his series of a crime solver and sports agent named Myron Bolitar. And growing up, I read a lot of Sidney Sheldon and Jeffrey Archer during my train journeys.
Karan S Grover, TV actor: I like to carry magazines with me on flights, mostly sports, just to catch up on what is happening around the world. As a kid I used to read a lot of comics on the train starting from Archies to Tintin to all the superhero ones!
Payal Rohatgi, film actor: I mostly read magazines while traveling. As I like knowing about new destinations, new hotel properties and food related to that place. I try reading light while travelling.
Tannaz Irani, film actor: The book, And Thereby Hangs a Tale by Jeffrey Archer was good to read while travelling. He is my favourite author. Archana Puran Singh, film actor: I used to read Wilbur Smith at one time, I have read all his books. But of late, I recommend Stieg Larsson who has written the most brilliant trilogy ? The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Incidentally I picked up the first book of this trilogy at an airport shop; it's a great read.
