Whats right with Shilpa??? NOTHING

Now if your wondering from the topic whether I'm talking about the character Dr. Shilpa or the actress Shilpa Anand basically I'm talking about both. :):):)

This forum apparently has a rule about NOT discussing the actor. But excuse me is'nt she an ACTOR ?? If we don't discuss her ACTING SKILLS then what exactly should we discuss....her pet dog??? 😉😛. So keeping this in mind I'm sure we are free to discuss Shilpa Anand the actor and Shilpa the character. So here goes......

Amidst all the confusion of her being the original Riddhima and NOW a new character "Shilpa" the audience has to deal with an irritating, atrocious and nonsensical storyline.

Ever since the character has entered the serial has gone from BAD to WORSE and from ANNOYING to MOST ANNOYING.

Wats it with ALL the STUPIDITY and NOT so funny jokes??? 😕

As if "Dhanno" was not enough where the 3 devdas's (including one who has just lost his wife and other the love of his life) of the channel find a random girl so hot that they forget all their dukh n dard, we were also tortured with "Raat ke dhai baje" where Shilpa's "thumkas" not only makes a patient randomly come out of a coma singing "dil ne kaisi durgat ki hai" (like a zombie) but also dancing to the song (as if the only thing he was waiting for was a seductive dance number).

What exactly are they trying to show??? What are they making her character do?? Why is "Dr Shilpa" behaving like a cartoon instead of a doctor??? Why is she randomly playing pranks on anyone and everyone for no rhyme or reason ???? Whats with the LAME STORYLINE and the repetitive "jokes" (if u can call them that)??? Why are they copy pasting all the previous AR scenes (with SA as Riddhima) now with Arsh in reverse order???

NOW WHATS NEXT??? Watching Armaan and "Shilpa" lonavala scenes in reverse mode (from the previous AR lonavala scenes). Even the kids in lonavala will go like "pehle baar to ye aurat Riddhima thi. Abhi ye shilpa hai?? Yeh kya confusion hai??"

And I'm sorry to say but I'm really dissapointed with SA's acting. She is playing an already OTT character in an even more OTT manner. Its thoroughly ANNOYING to say the least. Before people defend her n say that "she is supposed to be OTT and annoying" i would just like to say that she is supposed to annoy Armaan and NOT the AUDIENCE. (For eg. Armaan in the beginning annoyed Riddhima but not us) .

A lot of people appreciate Shilpa Anand and the character will come up with things like "Your just insecure or bitter or jealous etc". AHAH atleast come up with something more fresh and original. SA is an actor and Dr Shilpa a fictional character. None of them make a difference to me personally and hence no question of me feeling any of the above for them. 😛

Honestly This post is not to take a jibe at anybody but just to state my opinion and going by the episodes of the previous month I'm sure majority feel the same way.


PS: This post is in fond memory of Star One which has been chucked out of my Tata Sky Package.......Give it some time???? CHALLLLLLLL HATTTTTTTT. :):):):)

i personally feel it's the fault of the creatives and the storyline. She is just trying to do the best with the cheesy role, dialogues and scenes provided. she is agreat actress, i think we all saw that when she played the first Riddhima...so i feel that it's the creatives who r messing up

The problem is that a forum should be able to discuss an actor's talent critically but in the DMG forum, whenever says something against SA, they are automatically accused of being a hater. Everyday, I see a TM being bashed because apparently they're either a newbie (hence making MIDs in their opinion) or they are an AR fan who is jealous or insecure. So can I ask, who the hell is allowed to post their valid opinion?

Call us whatever you want but I remember there was a topic criticising JW's acting but NONE of her fans attacked the topic maker.

Dr Shilpa's character is very random. There is no explanation to her pranks whatsoever. Shilpa the actress, I just don't approve of her acting at all. I won't say more but both the character and actor leave a lot to be desired for.

Now call me insecure or jealous but I had this opinion even before I came across KaJen.

Yeah, I to a large extent agree with you. The storyline is toooo lame! I love Shilpa Anand, been waiting for her to come back for a long time! But the storyline is not doing justice to her role. And her expressions are just plain annoying. You're right when you say - She is supposed to annoy Armaan, not the audience! She is very OTT in her acting skills and the character is just NOT making sense.

I hope the creatives will pay more attention to the character and make it more realistic. Masti is fine, annoying storylines and lame jokes are NOT!
