Okay I am going to answer this from my point of view. The whole love triangle was Rids getting over it.
I feel like for Riddhima, the whole Armaan coming back. Her whole struggle was on-going. She went looking for him, she had her depression, she was sucidal. She picked up the pieces and decided to move forward. Then Armaan came back and she had to choose all over again. She has gone thru a complete cycle. Her last comment is was the last time I felt this way was for Armaan. I don't think she will think Armaan again for while and it will just be passing thoughts.
As far as Armaan is concerned
There have been four break up conversations:
1. Locker Room: When Sid sees Rids with Armaan, Rids first reaction was to run after sidd and that was her choice. Anything prior to that she really could not decide between two, the indecision is her whole depression and thinking of Armaan. When they come back to Sanjeevani and Sid has a broken leg, the locker room conversation. This is for both her and Armaan. Armaan is still fighting for her at this point. She says the divorce papers were a mistake. I understand this will break you heart but I am alive and breathing because of Sid. I know god will punish me for breaking your heart. At this piont Rids has already gone thru alot.
She got married unable to move on, she was about to get divorced because she could not move on, but she realized she could not bring herself to leave Sid. That's when she was ready. Like I said her cycle to me is complete, it is shorter because she has sid. For Armaan this the first time he is told, it is over.
2. The Varat conversation. This where Armaans whole not being able to move on begins. Who do you think about, who do you worry about? Denial He is making sure it is really over. After that, everything he does is him in love. So what if she does not love me. I stll love her. I will make sure he gets her happiness. He tries to get her and Sid together. This is entire thing is Armaan not moving on.
When he confesses his love this leads to the last two coversations.
3. Garden :Rids totally breaks down, tells him I know you love me and I cannot bear the wieght of breaking you. I wish my love was is strong as your love. What do you want me to do? ... At this point if Armaan had said leave sid ...I think she would have done it. (not because she did not love sid or because she loves armaan more) Becuase her respect for his love and their past compelled her to say it and her love for him wanted his happiness forsaking her own. He said you choose.
4. The basketball court, rids choose sid again and tells armaan. the only way I can move on is if you start think about you. This the good bye conversation. Closure for Rids. Armaan making resolve to move on. Rids made this resolve the day Sid was going to see another girl for marriage. Hers happened first because she has Sid.
Armaan was depressed after this and after the monsoon night he spend all night thinking about Rids. He goes out with sid and they fight over Rids. He is still in break up mode. His jail episode is the first time he has not thought about Rids. I think he will continue to think about her every now and then but it is not as frequent. I don't think him and shilpa are together. I think she annoys him soo much it distracts him. I think he will take longer to move on. But I think they are past the everyday wallowing. It may have moved to weekly. I feel like there has been enough.
As far as Rids and Armaan. I think they will stay out of the same frame for while now. You avoid each other. I do think you will see more turmoil from Armaan. Not as much from Rids- I think she has done enough though.
