However, I hasten to add, that I can see AR fans to have a valid point. It may be realistic for AR to move on, but I think the 'unrealisticness' (forgive my word invention) was the charm of their relationship. The fact that they loved each other so much was so unrealistic, that it was the very thing that kept you glued to the screen. To many people, AR were and are in the same category as Romeo-Juliet, Heer-Ranjha etc...just of the modern day.
I think the other thing that annoys fans is that after 2 years of AR, in which time fans have become so attached to the characters, it seems pointless to separate them. What's the point of 2 years of AR, if they're not going to be together in the end.
Also, DMG is never realistic! 😆
But on a more serious note, TV shows are there to entertain, and in some cases are mediums by which people can forget reality and escape into a fantasy world. They're hardly ever particularly realistic, because ultimately they provide what the viewers want. And generally speaking, viewers want tales of eternal love, because they're simply so rare and give happy endings. Viewers like happy endings! 😃
The point is: if fictional stories can't even give happy endings, what hope do we have in real life?

wow..i love ur reponse... but more than that, i love ur maturity... im not sure who u like more and it doesn't matter cuz u have explained ur pov so well....

i thnk our lives depend very littleon fictional characters and our true happiness lies in with whom we love..our family/friends.. tv is an entertainment medium..not something to make ur life full with happines..and i do hope u do not depend on it for that reason either 🤔

Thank you. Personally, I'm an AR fan, so my post was a bit biased. 😛 But I'm glad that I didn't come across as rude or anything. 😊

Now that I am done with being weird, I shall comment on this topic, I just came on line after a few days and finally I see a decent topic of discussion in this forum, or else tau mostly its filled with AR=DMG, without AR=No Air, AR= eternal love and AR this and that. Yadi yada.. Jeez, I wonder if half of them even known what being in a relationship entails. I say relationship and not love, because there is no novelty in the word love, it's worn out; that word has become so saturated, its become stale. And love or being in a relationship does not mean having thousands of eye locks, or trip catch and fall routine every other day.
'Love' is an over-used, overrated word. It holds no meaning, it's hollow. Relationship sounds much more real. LOL @ fall routine 😆 - So true though. Wonder whether AR would have been considered eternal sans the blowing wind, ripped off BW scenes, 'Ishq leta hai' played in the BG numerous times and eyelocks covered from every angle possible 😆

So back to topic in hand, Neetu, there is nothing called eternal love or tragic or legendary couples, it exists in books and movies. Neetu don't u know that this programme is way above the likes of classic literature, it is way more special and means much more than that, its a way of living for some. But jokes apart, its a blasphemy to compare this **** with the likes of Shakespeare and other classic literature. I pity people if they actually take this show to heart.
😆 @ Bold. I agree. There is no such thing as 'true love', it only exists in, like you said, books, movies and Twilight. 😆 It is defenitely a blasphemy, but people at this forum actually count AR as a 'legendary couple' 😕

Neetu, I have always had problem with people when they use the word eternal, there is nothing forever in this world. And people do move on, they find love again, this funda about loving once is complete BS, if you don't succeed in a relationship first time around, why not give it a second try? If we can fall and get up again, why cant we move on?
Yep, nothing lasts forever. Not even humans. Seriously, people still buy the whole 'Mohabbat marne ke baad bhi zinda rehti hai' crap? 😕 You find someone you like, you spend some time with them, and then you move on. Life is all about second chances, and living those second chances to their max.

And you're right, taking bullets for each other is not love, and since we are talking about realistic, I have seen many couples moving on coz for one reason or other their relationship didn't work out. So I don't suppose why they can't show that in the show. Why everybody is being so persistent in getting AR together, for god sake, they're a fictional couple. Move on...
So true. Couples who've been in a relationship for 8-9 years and break up for some or the other reason, move on too. What's so wrong in that? Everything can't always have a happy, hunky-dory ending. Heck, nothing ever does. It's a part and parcel of life. Accept it.

Can't be bothered to type any more, lost my momentum now..blah blah.. but u know my thoughts about this locha called love.😆
I do, and I agree completely 😛

Btw Neetu off topic, but you should definitely watch Rishta.com, if you don't. Its a freaking fabulous show, fab actors, concept and production value. I am sure you'll love it.
Oi, I tried to, lekin I could never follow it regularly for some reason. I'll watch it again though now 😃

🤗

Thanks for the comment Humz, it's always nice to see you around 🤗

Lol, yeah, I don't depend on them quite that much. I can see how my post could seem to suggest that I'm some loony that livespurely for TV. 😆
It's just that you don't see such love in today's world...or at least, I haven't...and it was quite nice to believe that such love does exist. 😊

@Nikhi...

If I may, and apologies for unceremoniously quoting you out the blue. But I wanted to add something to what you had to say. You are right that TV shows are there to entertain, but why is it that we forget that every show or movie is based or inspired from real life. So it will have touches of real life in it, and most relationships in a show (however lame, stupid and illogical the show may be) are always inspired or taken from real life, albeit they will be over exaggerated to the point of stupidity most of the times. But the basic premise of that couple's relationship and interaction is taken from real life, so what wrong is it that they have decided against not uniting AR. Its a leaf that they've taken from life itself. I won't quote any non-desi shows, but lets take for example, Mahi way, the show is over exaggerated, but the characters and their general interactions are very real. Where in there is a show like Rishta.com, where the show is as real as it can get and the characters are as real as you or me or anybody else on the street. So my point here is as nonsense and idiotic as this show is, I for one think its a good thing that they're showing something different.

With regards to happy endings and fairy tales, as much as I would have like this show to shut down and finish already it hasn't. So a happy ending will occur eventually, may be not with AR. But both the couples will have a happy ending. And about the real life comment in the end, why compare real life with reel life. Your destiny is not conjoint to what happens in a fictional show, now is it? But I guess, to each their own.

Once again, my apologies for quoting you..I hope you don't mind.😊

Uhmm.....People on this forum have always looked at AR as a legendary type couple, and I guess they were really disappointed when AR were "seperated." But you are right when you say that in today's time, couples aren't meant to be forever lasting lovers.
People move on faster and find another love quicker now. Ridhimma found love in Sidhannt, and I fail to understand why Armaan should hold himself back from finiding other people. I think its okay for Armaan to find someone else. Hell, I think he shouldn't have wasted all that time flashbacking about Ridhimma. She chose to move on, and its time he does too! There is absouloutely nothing wrong in moving on.

No problem whatsoever. 😊
I can see that we do differ in our views to some extent...but you brought light on something I hadn't thought of...that reel life is inspires from real life. And, yes, this show does need to end now! 😆
