i want to ask you something!🤔
what do you eat in your breakfast?😆 or you have some secret potion?
😆how do you come up with sensible and philosophical posts! 🤗i loved it/
yes, a marriage gives identity to a woman in society's eyes, and those are of a dutiful wife, loving mother, caring and mature daughter in law. but what are we? what is our real indentity? what are our real desires, our passions? society doesn't acknowledge it until we rebel or break the shackles and try to change the mode of our life. we present to the society in our best behaviour and are worst and real to the one who loves us or whom we love dearly. only he or she would understand us!
riddhima is same for everybody but a different woman for armaan!

n if being a lover is also not an identity then the whole then the whole basis of this thread is faulty! 😊

dear! i want to say something. our identity is not defined by are status, it is defined by our personality, our actions, as said by 'qazplm' . my mom and dad know me as their daughter but they also know the real me. the society will see me as a good daughter, when i do something good, careless if i do something bad, but who understands us? the ones who know what actually we are and what made us faulter and they will make it a point to take care of us and advice us what to do next. all people never understand us and some pretend to do so.
here what di is saying is that though, riddhima is married, she is not completely into it. her mind governed her actions and she did everything to make herself a good wife, to pay back sid for his nobility. but was this real riddhima? no she has lost her real indentity. maturity comes gradually but our nature doesn't change. our characteristics don't alter which in ridz case was visible.
when we change from lover to wife, a lot of things change, but the bond which we share with some people never change. only that we are unable to share our feelings because of the stress and added responsibilities. we have to give equal time to somethings in life but we never forget who we are. we can lie to others but not to our inner conscience.

Before i leave for work, here is a topic for all of u to ponder upon

In Riddhima's own words:

Main ab Riddhima Gupta se Riddhima Modi ban gayi hoon: Her marriage has given her a title, a name, ek naam

Armaan mere wajood ka woh hissa hai jisse koi mujhse alag nahin kar sakta: her love is what gave her identity, pehchaan, her wajood....

Hope this says it all

That was quite thoughtful...wowwwwww👏👏👏👏

With the marriage title came new identity!!! I know it started off like a compromise...but it's not so anymore!!! If it was.. then she wouldnt think twice before signing dp.. or before saying her papa..aap siddhant ko divorce karne se rok sakthe hain!!!.. She was all free to run to Armaan!!!

A person should never give you your identity. Do u lack so much self-confidence that you have to identify yourself in terms of someone else? And what if that someone died, are u without an identity then? Puh-leez. I could go on but my words will have little effect so I'll just save my energy.

thanks everyone for all ur wonderful responses. Right now I am overwhelmed with work and posts so cannot answer each one individually.

People who did not agree with what I intended to convey, I will just say that I respect ur opinion but there is a subtle difference between a role or title one adorns and their true identity.

Identity is who you really are
Title is what you are expected to be based on societal norms

A number of my friends have explained it beautifully and if you are still confused about the difference, please read my ff PEHCHAN :)
