reemz i can really well see ur anger justified...n i agree society needs to change its point of view..but dont kill me for this but ya still our society has such nitions in reality...woman are mostly blamed for each n everything they dont even do...be it divorce, eve teasing also bcoz people think ladki ne hi kuch kiya ho...if a gal is sexually harrassed, raped people say ladki me hi koi kharabi hogi...they say ladki ne gande kapde pehne hote hain...as if men are doodh k dhule...mens are dogs and they should be chunked out of our society...yes wat shashank said to some extent is true but if one change happens people will slowly accept this...also

Anyways coming back to the topic,i really dunno what kind of father he is.He is pushing his daughter in a loveless marriage for society's sake,he cant see the pain in her eyes or he feels only his pain given by society comprising of people like Sister Stella đŸ€”

This man got married to 2 women whom he loved and doesn't want his daughter to get married to the man she loves, good going Shashank.

He married Padma when the previous one died.

So when a marriage fails, its the woman who is usually blamed (really??? I don't have any statistics to prove him wrong I guess) so now Riddhima needs to prove this theory wrong i.e. you make this marriage work otherwise everyone will blame YOU! In other words, 'Riddhima beta, you have to make this marriage a successful one because if you don't then society (including myself, your beloved father) will point fingers at you '

đŸ€”

Nice work Shanky 😉

God!!!! Reemz dear👏...Completely loved your post....đŸ€—
Yes, Mr.Shashank Gupta, do you actually care for your daughter's happiness???
Does the society hold more importance to you than your own daughter's happiness???
Instead of letting her decide, you are again thrusting your decision on her....
C'mon, Man you have done enough damage to Armaan and Riddhima's life by now...
For once let her daughter do things on her own and stop emotional black-mailing her...
And, does Armaan's feelings ever matter to you???...
Just as a human being atleast, show some respect and sympathy towards Armaan...
I thought after his comeback, he might act a bit sensible and leave things on Armaan, Riddhima n Sid..But he's acting even more insane.....what else can we expect from the great Dr.Shashank Gupta....

I'm not denying that! I know my father would give me advice to think it through carefully but NEVER would he say that I will be blamed for whatever happens. Riddhima is already cuckoo! How does this added pressure help??

If Shanky had said 'Look I dont think you should divorce, give it another chance' (which I'm sure he will say that), I would understand that because no Dad wants to see his daughter going through a divorce BUT to put blame on her for the consequences is unfair!

Nikki, I didn't think that kind of behaviour works in urban areas between educated people?? 😕

the translation in simple words of his mindblowing dialogue would be.. stick to your marriage.. otherwise duniya tumhein bura bhala kahegi..!
god darn! society society society... does anyone care about individuals emotions and happiness?

this dialogue has instigated rly bad msg.. i was seriously offended by tht dialogue.. is will be a womans fault? couldnt they come up with anything better?

"people who mind dont matter and people who matter dont mind"
people talk.. how long? they also have their own lives to live.. its not like ppl hound you for the rest of their lives..

I KNOW my father would tell me to think about it carefully too but he wouldn't say that you're going to be blamed whatever happens baby!! Please!

DHara and Shipra...yes I love him a lot! Now do not frown upon our love! I dont care what society says...hmph!

hm at this point shahsank wants her to solve the matters he knows if he will say that it is caz of you she'll get to the root of it and to prove that no it's not her Fault in anyways and she wants to make it work hence this bahana which indeed is true as i stated earlier

I don't think he was saying that she is to blame but more that she has to be sure that she had no role in the breakdown. I think he just went to extremes to make her see that it does take two to tango so she should stop feeling like a victim. Moreover, she needs to make sure she is so clear about their being no fault of her own. I don't think he was taking her choice away but rather making her see she must've had a hand in the turn of events. And honestly she had the BIGGEST hand in all this. Her indecisiveness has majorly ruined TWO lives. It's her life and she is allowed to do what she likes so I'm not concerned about her pain but the pain she has caused SidMaan is unacceptable!!!

These people are doctors -__- I'm shocked that people living in urban areas have this kind of thinking too 😕 Blame the woman!! 😳 I'm guessing thats why no divorces happen?? đŸ„±
