there are too many marriages done like this....look at the example of Sachin Tendulkar -Anjali----She is 2 years older than him/...you want to ask her....are u saying Sach ----tum or aap.....Whatever their story is their !! just respect to that.....!! it is high time to pick one line make judgement....!!
Yes Armi was lover...here the situation change ....Siddhant is PAti for Riddhima....Jo Uska Humsafar hoga.....or uski marji .....tum kahe ya aap....!! They are actors and doing nice job and we are enjoying new stroy and that is very fresh story tale!!

Thanks for replying. But I need to say something here.

First of all this I'm NOT blaming the actors for this. I've never said its their fault. Is the CV's who write the lines n not the actors so why should I blame them.

Secondly there is no judgement passed here. Its just my personal opinion. I've watched DMG for 2.5 yrs n I think a glimpse of the show is enough for me to decide whether the current track is working for me or not. In my case the current track is SOOO NOT Happeneing.

Thirdly I agree with you that marriages do happen where the girl is older. I'm not questioning that.. But in most cases I don't think they might be calling the husband aap. But that as u said is their choice.

My point is In SidRidz case it sounds toooo fake and wierd. Till a few minutes before her marriage to him she called him Tum n then a few minutes later when they were married it bacame aap. The whole AAP thing makes their relationship seem very formal n it gave a whole saas-bahu type feel to me. its not about respect here. She can respect him n still call him tum.

I just found the whole aap thing very wierd and it did not work for me.
Jst my opinion. To each his own i guess

Pls tell me which "typical Indian wife" are you talking about. The one in 1990's or the one in 2010.
Because as far as I think the age of sari clad wives touching their husbands feet at the drop of a hat, crying all the time. taking all the abuse from her husband quietly is over.

I thought Ridhima was supposed to be a young, educated, independent, modern women of today's time. (was i mistaken about this 😕). Not a dormat like she seems to be potrayed as now with absolutely no decision making ability.

The fact that Ridhima is trying to act like this "typical wife" is what is not working for me. I just think this whole track is soo not keeping with the essence of the show. Its just does not seem like a youth show anymore. A agree that people call their husbands "aap" but in keeping with the characters in this show and the essence of this show I think its sounding fake and forced.

Jst my opinion.

I thought Ridhima was supposed to be a young, educated, independent, modern women of today's time. (was i mistaken about this 😕). Not a dormat like she seems to be potrayed as now with absolutely no decision making ability. situations change ppl and ridhz has changed after all that she has gone through. ridhz was always held the indian traditions be it her dressing style or her behaviour. In this current situation she thinks she in debt to Sid (for all that he has done for her and being with her during her times of need) and wants to make this marriage work!

The fact that Ridhima is trying to act like this "typical wife" is what is not working for me. I just think this whole track is soo not keeping with the essence of the show. one need to keep track of the story to know the changes in the character, just catching a glance won't help!
Jst my opinion.

respect doesn't always have do with age, it can be with 'relation' too.
For Ridhz Sid is her husband, and all she feels right now is respect nothing else!

WHAT RUBBISH! Ridz wants to address Sid as 'aap' so she is doing so. BIG DEAL? No one forced her to.

Even Shashank addresses everyone as 'aap' so does this mean that he is inferior or 'patnivrata'? From where did husband being superior to wife rubbish came in? People really need to change their narrow mentality.

Addressing someone as 'aap' has NOTHING to do with being superior or 'pativrata'... it has ONLY to do with 'RESPECT'. Even I term my younger cousins as 'aap'.. so plzz STOP with these lame topics. No point of getting jealous just cuz Ridz respects Sid more then armaan😆
