The things that you have mentioned are exactly what turn us into a typical society that is conditioned to think in an ancient archaic manner. No matter how educated we become , we refuse to open our minds. Because that is how our culture is I don't see it changing for a long long time. Rules for women which literally ruin them.

btw comig back to dmg ridzi has dug her own grave there are no two ways abt it i mean why the hell was she shouting she could have discussed all this in a calm manner taking her father and atul into confidence but alas she had to shout old habits die hard after all ( the lady doesnt know that its only a good sound communication that can solve all probs she believes in creating a issue out of everything and reaching a conclusion even without knowing the basic facts) but what abt poor sid what has he done to suffer like this his fault is that he has behaved like a thorough gentleman throughout the trip helped the lady in every possible way but little did he know that the trip would cost him his entire life litrerally ( truly if he gets married to ridz it would be worse than a death sentence for hin no offence to ridzi at all but the mental frame that she is in its going to be hell for sid ) i just hope sid gets saved and the marriage doesnt take place cvs plz help sid out of this dangerous jigsaw puzzle and give the guy some mental rest he deserves it asap....Riddzie needs to find her brains and if at all this marriage happens she needs to stop her screaming . Sid is innocent. Whatever that is happening , it is her fault and her misjudgment.

@Sue. Hahahahha. Thanks a lot! I look forward to hearing from you more often.

@ Esha. Because Sid is nice and goodness is a disease. But this post is not about Sid-Riddz.

@ Evy-Sue. Mutual admiration society? Me likes it!

Well well Poco, What to write about the new promo and the aftermath of the hypothermia.

Whom should we blame? The creative's who brought in such a twist and wrote the dialogues of ridz. Or the society who will accepts such pathetic reasons on the television shows to get married and save the family's honor.

First and foremost, is there even 0.00001% reality in how ridz has reacted? Which girl would go to the hospital instead of going to her mom (home)? She can call her dad to come home and express her anguish. Who the hell wants to shout about her being raped in front of staff and strangers? Is something called a personal life exists to the baap beti or not?

And for god's sake please remove the tag of DR from ridz character. And how insensitive and materialistic can the creative's be. Using the word rape is not a joke. It is like insulting the women who have been thru such horrific experience and also insulting the pain and mental trauma they have been thru. Creative's know it very well that the major fan following are the girls and this might affect them and send wrong ideas into their heads. Where are there morals and ethics?

Just bcoz the creative's want ridz and sid to become a couple, by hook or by crook, they bring in such pathetic twist.

And the cherry on the cake was shanky asking sid and ridz to get married. This just shows that our country will take a very very very long time to come out of the laidback society norms. I am sure that some elder person back in India might have commented after watching today's episode …. Isiliye ladkiyon ko ghar se bahar nahin bhejna chahiye/ padne nahin dena chahiye…ufff

Yes i definitely agree with you...how well our society must have progressed...when it comes to a girls character it pretty much remains the same...whatever the boy and girl concerned may say..no one is ready to hear..and in this case...rids has banged her head against the wall herself..i mean the society...what was the need to scream infront of the whole staff that sid raped her...and did he really rape her???the answer is a definite no...she being a doctor knows that he didn't rape her...of course no need to be a doctor to know what rape means...i hope she knows what rape means...rape doesn't simply mean sleeping next to the person...and how come she thinks of that????? and how can shashank a well educated person think of getting rids married to sid?????is this the only solution????no...how can he think that rids would be happy marrying someone whom she thinks to be a rapist?its better for rids to remain a spinster than marrying someone she doesn't even respect...
anyways this doesn't mean i'm in favour of the current track...i'm completely unhappy with the current track of ruining ar and sidna lovestories...there was no need of it..

Thank you so much for reading through. 😳....I will like to know your views on our society as well. After all , our serials only reflect what a sorry state women are in our society.

Gosh Poca… you wrote this after a meeting.. LOL!

I am just back from a meeting and came to the forum for a 'quick' update and read your topic instead.. had to read it twice.. LOL!

My comment: Regardless of it being Shashank the dad or whoever (reel vs Real).. at the end of the day… all fall prey to the whims of the society.

Talking about Real society scenarios …

I think the NOW generation has a better attitude than the few generations before.. they don't fall in the 'log kya kahenge' category.. The generation is dominant of professionals that are stable – mentally and financially - and make those social decisions themselves. I don't mean they disrespect their parents and elders.. but they don't society decide what they want to do!

Great topic.. Hope my comments were with it. Thanks!

Bhavz,

It is not about Sid-Riddz-Shanky. It is about how our culture and society has been conditioned to think.

DMG and many other serials are reflecting how our society works. The creatives create points that have been embedded in them not just for TRPs but the kind of culture and environment that we all have grown up in.

I am not making this post to make a critical comment on DMG or it's creatives - I am making this post to understand that Man-Woman-Honour cannot be separated.
