they are just changing her character for the sake of story.

i have always like niki becasue she never came between AR and she is the best friend anyone can have she is just awesome and armaan is really lucky to have a friend like niki..........looooooove nikiiiiiiiiiiiiiiand armaannnnnnnnnn's friendshipppppppp

My opinion about her hasn't changed...I think she was a darling right from the start and now she has become even more of a sweetheart! In yesterday's epi, in the jail scene, the way she was looking at armaan with tears in her eyes and was supporting him and hiding her feelings...I felt really sorry for her! She really is a true friend, the bestest anyone can ever have!

I liked her from the begining..Did not like the fact that she mite come in between AR...But I think she has proved to be Armaan's only real friend...even if we keep aside the fact that she supported her friends when they needed her....she was the only one that made sense there....when the interns who were supposed to support AR were being unfair..she stood up for them..that shows a lot of character and strength..and above all she asked Anji to shut up...LOL..perfect !!!!
