...i donno whether m rite o wrong but i read in one of sukriti's interview here on IF only dat she use to watch dil mil gaye .....as DMG is aired b4 her show jersey no 10...so she said i nvr thgt dat i wud be a part of DMG one day..............BUT nw she is saying she nvr watched DMG dat was d main issue wid her...lol m confused...........😔..

'I hope I am accepted'-Sukriti Khandpal.

Sukriti Khandpal who took over the mantle of Dr.Riddhima in Dill Mill Gayye from the actress Shilpa Anand,is all smiles these days.Ask her how it all happened and a very chirpy and excited Sukriti gushes,''Dill Mill Gayye happened a week back.I was already a part of the production,playing a role in Jersey No 10.I learnt that they were looking out for a replacement for Dr.Riddhima's character since Shilpa was quitting the show.I went ahead for the look test and the rest,as they say,rest is history!''
Replacing a character,who has been well accepted by the audience,is never easy.But Sukriti has a different take on this.''I look at this as a new role rather than as a replacement thing.I know its difficult for the audience to accept a new person in a particular role played by somebody else.But I'll give it my best shot and hope the audience accepts and appreciates me as well,'' she says.
Incidentally,this was one of the shows she regularly watched.''I've been an ardent viewer of the show as it used to come before my own.But little did I know that one day I would be part of it and that too playing the central character!It has come as a big responsibility and I hope I live upto it!''
Sukritis surely a TV serial buff.''I remember when Mihirs character was killed in Kyunki...I actually cried!''she recounts.''Later there was a new fce.Initially it was difficult as we kept comparing the new one to the old,but slowly the new one grew on us and we actually started thinking that he was perfect for the role,''she says.
Meanwhile,shes getting accustomed to the new set up.''My co-actors have been really sweet to me especially Karan,who plays Dr.Armaan.My first shot for the show was with him and he made me so comfortable;we had an immediate chemistry working there.''
