I agree with mystifire and Fatima..............just because you don't believe in it .....probably because it didn't happen to you.....why should one not believe in love at first sight? It has not happened to me, but I have seen instances in real life of love at first sight and having a very successful relationship in spite of all kinds of obstacles.........and it doesnt even depend on the looks of the people.........one of the most loving relationship I know which was something like love at first sight was between quite an ugly looking man and a very pretty woman....they had lot of opposition and married......have a disabled child.........yet, nearly 35 years later are still very much in love!!
I agree with Fatima.......why suspect the intelligence of people who watch shows like DSDV........I like it very much....yet I am not a stupid woman! I just wish people who didn't like it would leave us alone............why come and try to spoil everyone's mood? If you don't like it, don't watch the show!! Simple!
If I dont like what is happening tomorrow to the point it gets sickening, I would simply leave the forum alone.......I would not try to spoil it for those who do enjoy it...........I am silent reader of many forums here of shows which I used to watch and gave up when they turned psycho......I just do not comment.....simply read what interests me!
Wish people would act a little mature.........though I do understand a lot of members here are quite young!

Because there is no such things as love at first sight and not because it has not happened or I don't believe in it. Quite simple. There are annecdotal incidents that some people call love but it is more like a "lust" or a "passionate love" that is based on fantasies and perceptions we place on someone based on how they look to us at a particular moment. It's boring as well. However, since I do not care for the show or watch it, it does not bother me what they do anymore. I just with they'd show this at its proper time slot in the US - 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. so I'd miss it and instead shoe the other show this time slot instead.
And the writer is right that you do have to suspend all logic regarding many of these shows. And when things turn psycho for you in a storyline, how is that going to fair for others who don't see the characters as going psycho? Hope you follow the gist.

members were seeing Kanha and Radha in CB's leads
SP members were seeing the true sati savitri type bahu
PR simple miserable romance within a couple who has no communication or trust...silly decisions but still supporters wanted them together..
Now in DSDV is same path..
Kalyani's husband married her for who she was...Now he is rejecting new DIL for the same reasons who she is and mother who left the house on her own...He is not supporting his own wife and son for what is right...Moms are not always right u know what I mean...Kalyani also is shown now in bit submissive role...She should be standing up for what is right...How will she teach Nandini to be more assertive and confident against likes of Grandma and Urmila..
Indian soaps beats the heck out of MOI...Never understand CVs logics

I totally agree with you and I am glad to know that I am not alone in approaching some of these shows. Logic and an Indian drama is a complete oxymoron.

@Fatima B - Where else can they showcase their superior knowledge on how "love" happens and educate the ignorant about what is boring and interesting... see, people who watch "logicless" serials need a lot of "gyan" about falling in love and staying in love...😆
Lets hope , the time slot changes and they dont have to watch it anymore.. (actually, watching a different channel works too,but I dare not suggest it, I'm not so smart by their standards... DSDV jo dekhti hoon 😆 ) and then, hopefully , we might not have to endure rantings about how boring love-at-first-sight is!

I am not denying you the right to not like this show or watch it. That's your perogative and this is a free country. I happen to see the show while it is on in my house but I do not go out of my way to watch it. And there is distinction between love and lust whether you like it or not. Talk to anyone who is a professor an expert on love and relationships.
I am expressing my feelings about this show. You can ignore my posts if you don't like the them they way you feel comfortable ordering me to not watch the show. You also have the right to tell me you don't like them, but you cannot deny me the right to express how I feel or converse with another IF member who has similar feelings about the show.
Shows are different for a lot of people; we all have different levels of tolerance for any show and right now ours are not the same. It is possible that tomorrow we may meet on another forum ad not like a show or what is going on and find that we welcome each others post. For now, I hope you continue enjoying this show and allow me the right to express how I feel in a cordial and civil manner as I have done with you all along.
Thank you

There is love, lust and than there is Stupidity....
This type of love is mere immature stupidity which in most case turns into disaster...

@Fatima B - I also happen to be a huuuuuge fan of Austen's! And believe me, I've loved Elizabeth and Darcy since I was 14!! Gosh, we're similar in more than 1 ways!!

I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, but my all time favorite love story is of Jack and Rose in the movie "Titanic" I guess... normally, I believe in the saying "all's well that end's well" and I dont watch anything that doesn't have a happy ending, but thats one movie I dont mind watching over and over! 😳
My current favorite love story is of Jake and Neytiri from the movie "Avatar". I loooooved all the special effects and cant wait for the sequel to come out!
Do you like Harry Potter movies?
