I'm Yam and I watch Dil Se Diya Vachan occasionally. Not a daily watcher b'coz of my exams.

So, right the whole baby track, I would like to share with you some information.

I have Southern relatives in my family and apparently they watch Idayam, Tamil tele serial, which is the show that Dil Se Diya Vachan is based on.

I've watched several episodes of it before as it has been running for some time now.

On Idayam, Nandini's character, has ALREADY HAD A BABY B4 MARRIAGE

Now, don't jump into conclusions coz Nandini is a desi girl who is kind and virtuous but just not a virgin before marriage....

Nandini, when on a trip on the beach with friends, was raped by some guy and left by the side of bushes. Nandini because of the trauma becomes emotionless and in depression. She was concious but in a subconcious way. After giving birth, she regained conciousness after much treatment.

The catch is that she does not remember anything about it. So her parents hide it from her and let her live like a normal girl. Soon after, they get her married to Kalyani's son.

Kalyani will get to know the truth eventually and later on Nandini and much later on the whole family...

I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS HOW IT GOES IN THIS SERIAL SINCE IT IS JUST A REMAKE...
So, don't count on my word too much. Lets just wait and watch..

yam thats correct, as I posted elsewhere I used to see this serial's tamil version for a brief period and if this show is indeed following the tamil one then all family members would suspect the baby is of nandini. since nandini doesnt remember anything she will agree to have herself checked and is sure to be proved that the baby isnt hers. dr kalyani will do the check ups and reveal that she is not the mother. however the tests would indicate that nandini has already borne a child. kalyani would hide this from her family and confront nandini's sis about this. nandini's sis then tells the story which is what yam has typed above.

Even if we think she's 21 (thats her real age, I guess) then too, its possible that she's had that baby in the last year....

Lets simply wait n watch..coz this Indian TV..anything can happen here...n then its just a remake...not d original..so CVs can give their own twists when we're least expecting them

thanks for shraing. yes i had a feeling that it had to be something traumatic that happened to nandini and she forgot that she had a baby( if the baby is hers).

i never saw that show but from what I have heard of it u are right as thats what happens but from what I know about that show's story it seems like they have pretty much copied it exactly with minor changes so its very possible that they will keep this baby track as a rape track

And this is why it is important to at least get to know a girl before you marry her. Now, I hope this guy is open to the idea of marrying a girl who is not a virgin before marriage. Even though she was raped and had this child through wedlock, and none of this was her fault, tragically many families (and men) do not differentiate between the two. I also note the marriage has not yet been consumated, so we will see what happens...
