Firstly this show is not advocating moral values of high standard through its character. It is a fiction with less logic and more drama. The trio's desperation led them undertake surrogacy without understanding its ramifications on their life. Now in the mid way of the process, none can retreat even if any one of them have a realisation.
Surrogacy is a stigma in our country. The Government should formulate regulations regarding the eligibility for its undertaking
It would be interesting to see how Shourvari deals with provocations by the family. What shape the events to take in wake of Pyoni's incitement on Dadiji and Co. Whether the flames ignited by crooked Pyoni would engulf Shourvari and she would start suspecting on her husband of having extra marital interest in Teni. The conniving chachi used filthy language expressing her misconceived notions about Parth in Teni. The idea behind could be to surcharge the atmosphere against Teni which would finally lead to her ouster from the house.
This is an Indian telly show hence there is a misplaced expectation of it being a high quality serial. Still it is better than many supernatural, paranormal, transgender and misconstrued historical shows. On this aspect we can heave a sigh of relief that at least Dsdt is entertaining with good performances in its core.

There are few filmy scenes here and there but i think the makers are doing well with Parth-Teni's relationship. Parth's attachment towards Teni is nothing but his love for his child. Not once did i see him interested in Teni. His sole concern and focus remains on the child. Till now Teni is simply touched by Parth's concern because no one has shown any concern for her in any manner. She knows that Parth's concern solely stems from the child she carries but she, nevertheless, likes it in a friendly manner. Till none of the two have shown any sort of physical attraction towards each other despite all the filmy scene.
The show is more focused on Parth and Shorvori's relationship. Shorvori finds it difficult to see Parth so concerned and inclined towards another woman even if it is for the baby. Shorvori already has deep-rooted insecurities regarding her inability to conceive. She sees Parth's attention as something that was, once, solely for her. She is well aware of Parth's intentions but her insecurities cannot help but make her see the whole situation in wrong way.
Interestingly even Parth's development as a character is shown quiet well. I feel it's nothing but natural for a person to, unknowingly, keep his/her priorities as a parent above every other relationship. It was easy for Parth to say that nothing is more important to him than Shorvori but it really seems like he cannot stand by those words now that baby is finally in the picture even if not yet born. His instincts as a parent surely surpasses his dedication as a husband.
As for Shorvori-Teni's relationship i think their lack of scenes indicate their lack of similarities as a person. Teni, despite being pregnant, does not hold any motherly affection for the child as Shorvori does. From very start, Teni and Shorvori had to struggle to get along. They have only come together for the child and have nothing else common to share. Motherly affections for the child comes more naturally to Shorvori than Teni. While Shorvori sees this child as something sacred, Teni sees it as lottery. One can imagine the conversations they can have about the child. 😕

.
Parth with his sensibility and love for Shourvari can continue with his smooth and loving relationship with his wife by convincing her of his concerns for Teni.
Wise Shourvari has no reason to suspect her hubby as he has already proved his commitment towards his wife.
Teni is cute, loving, friendly, straight forward and clear hearted. When she herself encourages PaRi to have romance, how can she ever think of stepping herself into Shourvari's shoes.
Gradually she might develop a soft corner for Parth, but don't think she would ever find herself on a softer ground to slip in Parth's arms. If this happens then Teni will be seen as another woman in Parth's life and such happenings will wipe out all her goodness.
Love Teni, hence would not like to see such unfavourable events in the show.
Dilchasp rishta doesn't mean dil ka rishta which is shared by PaRi.

My two cents on surrogacy.

We have been discussing this from long time, and I don't think we can stop talking about it, because that's something the whole story of the show revolves around.

I maybe in minority in saying this, but I don't really find a reason why surrogacy should be looked down upon to an extent that it should be totally banned or should never be practised in our country.

Adoption is anytime a much more noble and humane way to fulfill the desire of childless couples to have kids, which also ensures a better life to orphaned kids, but adoption can't be forced on anyone! There will be people who will want to have biological child, and surrogacy can be a ray of hope for them. Ours is an orthodox society where people still think having their own kids is the only way out, and in most of the cases women are held responsible for the infertility issues. What's wrong in it if such women look at surrogacy as an option which can earn them their position in family and society?

I do not feel that concept of price of womb comes into picture, as long as the surrogate mother is willingly ready to carry the child in her body for nine months. I remember a Bollywood movie which had come many years back, starring likes of Tabu, Palash Sen, Sushmita Sen and others. It was a story of two modern age, independent couples, one of which was keen to have a baby within months of their marriage. But some unfortunate circumstances happen and they come to know that the wife can't conceive. The other lady, who is a good friend of the first, decides to carry her friend's baby in her womb. She takes this decision without her husband's consent, who doesn't really happen to be happy about her decision. I don't remember end of the movie, but this is just one kind of situation where surrogacy can be a blessing for someone. Obviously, there will be questions like why the couple couldn't adopt a child, but then its everyone's personal choice!

Of course, there is a dark side to everything, and so is to surrogacy- the commercial surrogacy. Which is probably the case in most of the surrogacy cases happening in our country. But that doesn't make the whole surrogacy a bad deal, IMO. There are a lot of illegal trades happening in case of organ donation as well, but that doesn't make us stop practising organ donation, because every coin has two sides to it.

Having said all this, I understand that surrogacy is a very sensitive topic, and it goes beyond the medical science to cultural aspects and personal beliefs of people. I don't intend to offend anyone with this, just sharing my perspective, which I wanted to do from a long time.

Appreciate your views on surrogacy Rashmi!! Your views in favour of surrogacy is really convincing. In the context of our country, since rules are not stringent people tend towards practising surrogacy for commercial purpose. Therefore in my post I have stated that government should formulate rules regarding who can go for the process. Since there was no such legal binding on people till date, a mother's embryo was being trafficked abroad and even foreigners felt India as a safe nation for surrogacy.
Therefore I said surrogacy is a stigma in our indian society and only stricter rules can stop it.
Albeit having a biological child is one's natural choice, still If there is some value and feeling for human life one can think for adoption, Adoption should be a suggestion, leaving upon an individual to decide.
I am only against the general practice of surrogacy because for commercial purposes. In a country like ours having gullible poor and a massive population of children living below poverty line thus being victims of malnutrition, I consider surrogacy as a bane and not a boon.

@Sheena, I get it now, why surrogacy is a bane from your POV. The points you have stated are very much valid and I agree with them, specially the last part. I remember reading how women from economically backward section of Indian society are falling prey to this practice, where hospitals and rich would be parents take advantage of their lack of knowledge about their rights as surrogate mothers.

However, as I said there are always two sides of coin, and that's why I feel that the darker side of surrogacy should not become a prohibition in opting for surrogacy in some rare but genuine cases. I guess as long as we are having healthy discussion respecting each other's opinions, it should matter whether our views are matching or contradicting. 😊 I really hope the upcoming law will take care of all the aspects of surrogacy!
