I'd been waiting for this particular scene for a long time. A V---E---R---Y long time. I hoped at one point they would show Jhanvi's lawyers fighting a case, and Viraaj attempting to drag it but eventually losing. I knew for a fact that courtroom drama is as different from reality as one can get, so that definitely wasn't what I was expecting. But given the power in narrative hitherto given to Viraaj, and the fight we've seen Sia put up with him, I would have expected more than this...this...rushed cop-out of a scenario. It had its wonderful moments (Raghav's argument that with Viraaj's drama the decision could stretch for years, because that is what happens in a lot of court cases, and Sia's joy at the end of the proceedings was something I'd been waiting for for a long, long time) -- but it was rushed, didn't have the 'bigness' of a moment you'd expect from something so monumental to her (big enough for her to finally sit down and think of it as the end of an era for herself, as illustrated in the RaghavI scene after this one).

None of us would want the divorce track to drag, sure. But having it pan out for a few more days(by which I mean scenes that look like they will be happening a month or two later etc, as per court proceedings demands)? Having V's lawyer say a thing or two which could be shot down by S's lawyer easily? Having witnesses like Komolika or Malholtra at hand?

But of course, the reason ultimately given will be that there was a leap ahead and they had to hurry. Sure...hurry so much that you'll concentrate lovingly on Viraaj's need for gourmet hotel food, but wrap up the divorce track that has snatches of good things, but isn't workable - realistically or dramatically - as a whole? The divorce IS the statement in the serial...it's the culmination of that portion of Jhanvi's journey - more so than the exposing scene was. I'm saddened that such a difficult journey has met with such a weak end.

I noticed it too and i did not bother mentioning it in my post regarding divorce last night because i think as a viewer i am too used to it now. It has nothing to do with the leap coming, it has to do with what basically plagues this show, always has and i am afraid will continue to .. focus more on the abuser than the victim!!! Jhanvi's emotions, her feelings, her thought process, is always down played and Viraj's abuse, villain acts, thought process is always focused on as if he is some sort of victim or charm. It makes me sick as a woman!!!

What i would have really liked to see would be a detailed well thought and played out divorce scene and not the case rapped up in one hearing. Because this was her day ... this was her success ... her vicotry finally after a long hard battle!!!

What more i would have liked to see was before the smile scene (which was awesome) Sia walking alone may be in lawn or any where thinking about her life, talking to herself, questioning herself!!!

What the writers of this show do not understand is that drama may be important, suspense may be important but nothing absolutely nothing sells like the human emotions, if handled well!!!

But oh well i know am just banging my head against the wall ... but it has nothing to do with leap (because leap itself is a way to skip a lot of sia's emotions and journey) it has to do with mentality of writers, where viraj has to be center of attention all the time! They never bother thinking about other important scenes that involve other characters mostly and Sia is no exception!

I agree, Biz. The court scene was rushed and choppy screenplay wise. They could've and should've handled it much better. For one thing, the calling in of witnesses was important. Komolika, Malhotra -- perhaps even Mrs. Awasti.
Furthermore, they could've used a stronger Judge. Someone with more spunk. Someone who would challenge both lawyers. V's lawyer was disappointing. He didn't even put up a fight. Nor did he seem very professional. Sia's lawyer was weak, except when he showed the evidence after Sia had taken matters into her own hands.
And as per usual, V ate up precious screenspace that could've been spent on focusing on Sia's divorce case being treated, the fight in court, and most importantly -- her emotional struggle when she had to show the entire court her abuse and had to watch it herself as well.

V has become the plague that haunts the show -- and it's the writers/channel who allowed him to become it. Continue to allow him to stay it.

Agreed wid everything Lizzy.
At 1st why cudnt the get a better actor 4 d judge??..gosh d judge sucked, only order nd order nd dat too such a bad hindi accent, even i think being a non indian i will speak better dan dat..den SIA's lawyer was just sitting, nd SIA did everything, nd even V's lawyer was sitting nd dint try 2 defend, in real court cases we don see so much calmnes nd mutualism in between both d parties.
nd yes d worst part was d scene was only a seq of 4 mins, sigh...9 month Jaanvi suffered, we suffered, d battle was tough, she fought nd only 4 mins 4 d divorce??..nd her breakdown was 4 sum secs, i really don get why dint they giv her a scene where she really felt it was hard 2 believe dat she is a free bird now??..
CVs u can take d leap, but do not show d most important parts in such a manner dat we feel it was just 4 d sake of it, if HarshSri wudnt b such good actors den dese 3 mins scenes wud also o 2 drains, reall heights of injustice...
I was really nd very pissed wen 4m d court scene they cut off nd showed Viraaj eating sum restaurant food in d hospital...W*F was dat??..was dat even needed, we kno he eats only good food, i mean really CVs, why do u ruin d best moments wid such silly stuffs in between along wd d rush...🥱

Yes it was rushed but didn't wanna do a post about it but you're right. Everything that has nothing to do with Viraj is rushed, be it the most awaited scene, DIVORCE, or RaghavI moments

This show started off with a bang, but sadly lost it focus midway as well as most of it viewers. This was a woman;s fight for justice, and yet she never got to stand on her own two feets and fight her battle independently. In real life scenarios, no prince charming comes to save you, which is why i was reluctant when HC was introduced. But his character helped Jhanvi get some confidence but alas she was too weak. Not a good statement to send to women out there. She should have been strong and fought Viraj hands or weapons on... Khaiir.
Divorce is definitely a statement! But as you right pointed out, this strong storyline meant a very weak end. She did not get the required justice. And it hasnt really send out a good message to society which was one of its focus. Viraj should have been punished. Jhanvi should have fought this battle on her own back.
Didnt mean to offend, since i know how touchy people get🥱
