Ye be warned. Not gonna be nice on the writers tonight. They have been given one too many chances to prove me wrong, to prove that they know what they're doing. But tonight, they failed big time. Disappointing episode -- utterly. Considering that this was supposed to be the BIGGEST confrontation ever. It was lame, pathetic, and completely ILLOGICAL.
>> Cons:
1) Jahnvi allows V to touch her beyond limit
No woman in Jahnvi's situation would've allowed a rapist to feel her up. I was shocked. In fact, I was disappointed, frustrated, and incredibly upset with the writers for executing that scene so horribly. What's the message? When a psycho rapist is putting his hands on you -- stand still and make "I'm so disgusted" faces?
How could they show Jahnvi permit him to touch her like that? After everything that he put her through. The hell, the frigging rape.
2) Jahnvi doesn't as much as shove him away
She did nothing. She made faces. That's all she did. Wow, really amazing. Not. Making a face does not stop an assault. If that were so, I believe that a lot of victims wouldn't have ended up as victims.
Seriously. If she didn't have the strength to slap him, she could've at least spat him on his face to show her frigging disgust with him. It would've struck him harder than a slap!
3) Jahnvi hides in her room and takes her bloody time crying, thinking, and whining
I wanted to rip my hair out.
Lemme get this straight. V, the psychotic rapist, is right next door and Jahnvi goes to her room post-confrontation, shuts the door, cries a little, whines a little, talks about how her greatest fear is in her face now [not like she hasn't repeated this a gazillion times over the past several weeks], and then decides that she needs to do something [not like she hasn't repeated this a gazillion times].
She has time for all of this, of course. I mean, V is just waiting for her to work through her mental issues and muster up her strength again. No hurry, or anything. Got all night. Just take your time, hun.
🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
This scene made no frigging sense. There should've been no time for this, no peace of mind for this! It should've been out of V's room, grab Krish, and get the hell OUT of the house BEFORE the monster awakens. She tested his patience beyond his limit, provoking him beyond his limit -- if he beats the hell out of her, well, she asked for it!
Smart plan: Post-confrontation, GET AWAY from him. AS FAR away from as possible!
4) Jahnvi doesn't even try to leave the house with Krish
If she had at least TRIED, I might've disliked her less tonight. But she didn't even try. That was so frigging stupid. I mean, game is OVER. Confrontation happened. You refused him. Now it's out before he beats the hell out of you again.
Jahnvi knows what he's capable of. Made no sense to me that she stuck around.
5) Jahnvi starts cleaning up
What the hell was she doing? There's a psycho in the house. He might start torturing her any second, and she starts playing house! How could she EVEN think of cleaning when she'd just confronted her worst nightmare? When he'd just assaulted her again? When she has the responsibility of Krish?! Seriously!!
I need to bang my head against the wall. She pissed me off.
6) Jahnvi isn't even 1 percent alert about V's whereabouts in the house
Again, she was talking to herself, oblivious to where V was in the house or what he might be doing! Then he comes up behind her again and she JUMPS, dammit. WTH? If you're so frigging scared of him, then how can you even turn your back on him for one second?! Why aren't you trying to leave?!
7) Jahnvi speaks to him as if she still considers him human
She didn't raise her voice. Not even one notch. I wanted to slap her, shake her. Get some kind of reaction out of her other than that determined expression on her face!
Come on, woman. Spit on him. Shove him away from you. SOMETHING! ANYTHING! 🤢
8) Jahnvi is going in circles around herself
Same dialogues, same reaction. Nothing changes. Nothing grows. The CVs have no clue how a victim would or even should react in such a situation. It's shameful.
9) When Jahnvi finally raises her voice to V, the editors switch off the sound
The end scene in which she finally raises her voice one notch, they turned the sound off.
*mumbles* Seriously, I don't even- I can't even- I'm just so-
*bangs head against wall over and over*
>> Pros:
1) Raghav guesses that someone is trying to frame him
Thank God. This took the edge off for me for a while. Raghav, clever Raghav, figured out that someone's trying to frame him. YES!
2) Jahnvi switches rooms for Krish and leads V away from him
The only smart move she made tonight. In fact, it was the only actual move she made tonight. Gosh, even the promos are better than the episodes O.o
3) Jahnvi tries to wash off his touch
Well, at least we got an actual reaction.
My question to the CVs: Are you clueless about Jahnvi, her characterization, what on earth to do with her? Or are you making her react that way so that some people can drool over his rape-ish touches and call it romance? Recoiling, but not fighting, because it is such a turn on when Jahnvi is letting V feel her up while making distasteful expressions?
I just want to know.
Because as a woman, I was disgusted with Jahnvi -- not Viraj. That's all I really have to say.
