Episode started out interesting and ended interesting in terms of drama/suspense. But I'll repeat what I've been saying these past few days -- there's been no and continues to be no character growth nor story progress. It's a dragfest.
>> Pros:
1) Raghav searches for Sundar
Thank God for logic overpowering drama just for a sec. I would've screamed in frustration if Raghav had returned home, and then gone "oh, wait, lemme call Sundar and scold him for disappearing on me!"
I actually liked that Raghav went searching for him even before they'd gotten home. That showed he had been thinking about Sundar ever since they left the jungle, and it worried him that Sundar's car was there without his best friend.
2) Sundar is held captive
The actor who portrays Sundar did a frigging awesome job. I felt horrible for him. Sigh. He got himself involved in something beyond his control. I bet he's blaming himself for having kept things a secret from Raghav. When he started crying, I just wanted to dive in there to save him from idiot Shekhawat.
If I'd been Sundar, I would've stopped trusting these guys by now and simply screamed in the phone for help. I'm sure Raghav would've caught that message. Sundar, you idiot :-(
3) Jahnvi exposes Shekhawat and mentions his superior
Nice observation, Jahnvi. You were good for something post-rescue, after all.
4) Gayatri cannot trust Jahnvi, Komal intervenes
THANK you, Gayatri. But it would've been nicer if you'd said the same to V. Just FYI.
I'm actually liking Komal a lot recently. She might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she's a pure person and she does what she can to keep her family together.
5) "I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself if anything had happened to you"
Beautiful and meaningful line delivered flawlessly by Raghav/Harshad. Was I the only one who noticed Jahnvi's uncomfortable expression just then? She caught onto the underlying meaning in his words, and then swiftly changed the subject.
Someone doesn't know how to handle Raghav's honesty anymore.
6) Jahnvi catches on to something
During her conversation with V, she connected his "they didn't hurt you or torture you, did they?" with the goon talking on the phone and saying that the boss didn't want anyone to touch the girl, or damage her in any way.
Nice observation once again, Jahnvi. Despite the minus point for your thoughts on V in the car, I'll give you two plus points for two sharp observations. Now if you'd only be just as clever and figure V out before he destroys any more lives...
7) KriGhav moment and the "boliye"
Gosh, I frigging missed these two. Finally, a private moment between KriGhav. I just love how Harshad delivered the "boliye" as he'd gotten on his knees. Like, Krish was a master summoning him. Heh. Sweet.
Even better was when Raghav told him that he didn't need anyone when he had Krish -- and then the beautiful hug. God. The way Krish stroked his head, soothing him, silently telling him that he knows.
8) V's eyes close-up in the car and his dialogues at the end of the episode
I felt like V was a bit in character tonight. The close-up of his evil eye in the car was done awesomely, and his dialogues in his final scene were bang-on.
>> Cons:
1) Gayatri doesn't react to Jahnvi's revelation
Um, okay. Jahnvi says that someone was ordering Shekhawat around and Gayatri reacts with "oh, I was right! Shekhawat is behind all this!"
Am I the only one who doesn't get her logic?
Please. Gayatri is a sharp woman. This was an insult to her character. In fact, the several past episodes have been nothing but an insult to her character.
2) The goon isn't dead
Surprise, surprise. Not. What are the CVs scared-- Oh, wait. Nevermind. I know what they are scared of. Well, so we're back to square one. Officially V hasn't murdered. Unofficially he has murdered more than one living creature.
Yeah, sure. Keep V shippers in their happy, hopeful bubble. Who am I to burst it?
3) Unniyal's excessive fear
Please. You have a set of awesome characters. Don't turn them into puppets with no real importance to the show. Unniyal might be a bit stupid and frightened shitless, but he's not an airhead and he has a conscience. Please give him some importance. Maybe show his thoughts on the whole situation that he's gotten himself into. I mean, he started out like an "I'm all that" baby cop from nowhere, Manali, and now he's gotten himself into a mess that scares the hell out of him. He's playing with the big boys now.
If you don't want to be fair to certain characters -- why introduce them in the first place?
4) Shekhawat-V supervillain drama [we get it]
But what is the need for a super plot when all V wants is Jahnvi and all he really has to do is take her? Why get him involved with some mafia-wannabe gangster? Why waste all his time on plotting against Gayatri, Komal, Taashu, Raghav, and even Krish? Why make him shoot a guy just so that he can prove himself a saint? Why make him schizo, then remove the double [which, don't get me wrong, I'm happy about], and have him switch from Pony-Tail to Emo Kid?
I mean, what. is. the. damn. purpose. of. it. all? How, where, when, what, why.
I need agua and painkillers.
5) Jahnvi's double drama again
Her thoughts in the car?
"Oh, he has changed. Oh, he isn't the V that I've known. Oh, he really feels bad. Oh, he's sad. Oh, I want to touch him and comfort him. Oh, I need a frigging brain job."
