Dear Forum Members,
Please respect everyone's opinion. Some may like the show and some may not. I have no issues with having a healthy discussion on this forum, but please keep it civilized and away from personal attacks. Remember whether someone likes it or doesnt, whether someone thinks its reality or not; we all have the right to express our opinions. Please keep the discussion to the show rather than attacking each other.

I feel with time the story will improve, and the serial will be a delight to watch. I have seen in many instances that a serial makes a bad start, but proceeds wonderfully after that, and I hope that's how this serial is going to be. I really want this serial to make a big success and run for a long time because I want Sriti to find success, always. 😊

If 'hard core fans' of Sriti aren't watching a show that Sriti herself took up, then they're not really hardcore fans of her, now are they? 🤔

I say we show the star networks that we are intelligent and wont have such nonsense shoved down our throat.
Of course we are intelligent enough to like larger than life fairy tales like Geet and Pyaar Ki... and avoid shows like Saubhagyavati Bhava

Oh Nikkie Nikkie Nikkie! *Shakes head like a disappointed 200 year old Baa* I was loving your answers until I came across this little trifle comment. Why must everyone drag Geet into everything? A dose of reality is needed in fact it is a necessity. But a bit of fairy tale and fantasy should be included as well. Please don't question our intelligence for liking 'fairy tales'. The only reason why more than half the forum is watching this show is because of our love for the leads WHOM were once also a part of a 'fairytale' drama.

Sometimes life is so depressing that we are compelled and drawn to false portrayal of dreams, love and happily ever afters just to make us feel better. That makes us no less intelligent. By no means. Full stop.

Guys just calm down.
There's obviously conflicting opinions so you just need to take it in and not bash. And dear topic starter- just because you don't like the serial doesn't mean others share the same view, yes you can voice your opinion but sometimes it can be offensive to others also this forum is for discussing the show good or bad but not downright bashing that too after the first episode. It's a very gripping story and rather than encouraging violence it is raising awareness to the audience about such horrible incidents and hopefully in the future episodes we will see Jhanvi overcoming this and the CV's will show how women and even men in some cases can find hope and chance to escape.

I came across the show after seeing a banner of Sriti so thought to check it out and then saw Karanvir in it and was very excited, the concept was moving but also the main reason I stuck to it was because of this unique plot. Moreover the timing is perfect, kids should not be watching TV at 10pm and this show hasn't been designed for kids it is for an adult audience. I'm not gonna say "if you don't like it don't watch it" because it has been said too many times and hasn't resolved anything, but rather instigating more fights.

I understand it's violent but this show isn't the only one that shows torture there have been hundreds of shows that have shown violence, you say you watched Rakht Sambandh which was very similar. She may not have been physically tortured but she was mentally, and was heavily manipulated. Also one of her sisters in the show was a victim of domestic abuse and I personally found that worse because the husband was abusing her for no reason he was a sexist bas**** after money!! At least in this show we know that Viraj loves Jhanvi but has some psychological issues which is stopping him from being normal. Viraj's character can be justified to an extent but no way could you have justified the character of the hubby in RS!

Back to your point of too much violence what about horror shows and movies about serial killers etc...

I don't want to start arguing, like you made a point I have also made mine. So please don't take it offensively I'm only trying to explain from a different POV.

And lastly a message to other members, after reading all the comments it's started to look like a one against an army battle. I think if we just explain our point rather than taking it personally it will make it a much more healthy debate. 😊 Obviously not everyone is going to have the same view so we should be more open minded.

Please don't take this offensively, I don't mean to offend anyone or cause any harm. 😊

Thank you!

Pleaseee...
Don't start this here again, I don't want to leave this forum too
😒
I really like DSDDSB!!!! 😍

Ok being serious now, Its not that I have issues with fairytale drama, even I am personally a fan of two shows like this Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Dekha Ek Khwab, and I try not to miss any episode. 😉
Yes imaginary stories do make sense as long as they have a sensible flow.

But accept it that Geet was a 'cult' fairytale show, with more focus on just the cinematography to have a lot of chemistry between the actors and the script, screenplay and editing was a whole lot ignored.
Even I was a member of Geet forum initially but due to these reasons I quit watching it. Actually it was just a personal grudge, I had expected it to be a journey of a girl trying to stand up on her feet after being abandoned by her family and ditched by her ex-husband but got to see something else.

I always thought I am die-hard fan of Sriti, but now that I am not watching the show, maybe I was wrong in my thinking.

So the only rationale that I could think of is to change your channel. I might be nice enough to aid you in this very dangerous and difficult procedure but I will clutch my heart and stand brave for you.

You might encounter a devise with buttons on it. DO NOT FEAR OR RECOIL! It will not hurt you.
The buttons gives you an option to either change the channel or turn the television off. Try locating a button that might show arrows to indicate a possibility to change the channel.
If not located. Look at the right hand button on the side. You might realize that it is either in a different colour or would have a symbol portraying the option to turn the telly off.
  1. In desperation, if none of the above can be located. I advise you to disconnect the plug from the power point. However due to safety reasons please turn the switch off before pulling out the plug.

I
hope this helped! 😊

By the way, let me also tell you that life is not a fairytale. You cannot always expect a happily ever after. Sometimes there are no prince charming's. Sometimes there are no such thing as true love. Sometimes a martial life is not a perfect bliss. Sometimes a girl does not find her Raj (DDLJ referenced). If you want to continue believing that all is well, then go and watch Cinderella. For once a show is reflecting the realities of life. You cannot forever shield your children from facing the facts. Their bound to find out one day. And this show is the perfect example to teach everyone the difference between right and wrong.

Seeing and having knowledge about evil and bad helps an individual form a basic understanding of what morals and ethics are.

Omg ur first para ws hilarious 😆 Nice post..
