Is 'ugly' supposed to mean having random spots?

Okay so I understand madhuvs character is supposed to be depicted as ugly. Which is why they choose an actor who has darker skin bc stereotypically dark skin is associated with unattractiveness in our society. I also understand the scar he has, which mars his face and further promotes is 'unattractiveness'. But what's with the spots? Are they some kind of skin condition? Then maybe they should explain that. Or are they just supposed to be moles? They're definitely not freckles, so what the hell are they? I mean have you ever seen someone in real life have something like that on their face? I understand trying to make the character unattractive but what's the logic in this. If I'm missing something, please explain...

Actually they made madhav face look darker but the fact is even dark people look beautiful ... Rohit might have looked like tall handsome dark dusky guy so they ended up putting spots on his face so he resembles a ugly guy...

But he looks so handsome dreamy guy now too...

Makeup man should think of alternatives to make him look dirty

I totally agree. I am actually attracted to the more tan guys. Arjun rampal is totally up my alley. Ranbir kapoor, not so much. I mean he's cute, I'm not arguing that, but he doesn't give me butterflies the way Arjun does. So I understand their need to make him more unattractive to be in line with the character. But instead of these weird random spots why not change up his nose or something. It's so common to add something over it to change his features, like amitabhs make in paa. Idk, it's just silly to me

yest when a person is infected with the chicken pox they will have the spots but if u go to deep south where u can see ppl having this type of spots face i really dont know why becoz of over heat or humidity in temparature is less so the ppl have this dark complexion and some ppl have spots also (pimples or something like that) u can find in interior andhra or tamilnadu or karnatake where the nature is itself very dry and in one tamil movie (starring rajkiran & meena) where the hero is ugli they showed that the hero with dark complexioned having spots (but that is village story) so may be cvs tuk the idea from there

well basically the cvs wanted to make madhav's character look as much ugly as possible by putting all those marks...😆
@rohit is dusky yet attractvie so they had to do something to make him look less attractive...even in this avatar if he would have worn better clothes then it would give him a fine look but with those plain clothing and unattractive colors of his clothes...they tend to make him look more ugly...
ugly doesnt mean to have ranom spots but to make rohit get into the character of the ugly madhav...they need to do this😆

my relatives do have black spots on their body. its heredity. Their mom had, n her family had a tough time searching a groom for her (even wen they belonged to a rich family) and now, her kids have the same kind of spots, her elder daughter and son got married, but her youngest daughter is still unmarried (n she doesn't want to get married too).

Ok that makes sense then. Bc I just thought it was something random they did to make him as "ugly" as possible when in real life there is no such thing.

I totally agree. I find rohit very attractive, they had to really work hard to make him apprear unattractive hahaha
