Why doesn't the kidnapping story come up?

The kidnapping incident was an extremely crucial milestone to everyone's lives. I am surprised that that has not come up infront of the parents at all.

Plus for VP to get convinced that palka is indeed the right person for her son, Rithwik should let them know that Palak did not ditch him even at the face of death. She herself went thru almost death to save Rithwik but had refused to let go.

And the reverse story should be told to Palak's parents for them to understand what Palak means to Rithwik - how he was willing to sacrifice himself for an opportunity to have Palak free

I think revealing the kidnapping story wouldn't serve the purpose it is intended for. The kidnapping incident was more internal, it involved in depth feelings of both Ritwik and Palak, and they can convey those feelings to their families.

Exactly my point ... to be able to say that they have each already been thru the wringer ... their mutual emotions have already been tried and tested in the worst possible way ... the Puris are playing the "Rithwik's mother's defection" card with VP ...and VP should be told that this issue has already been tested during the kidnapping

Aman has only witnessed the kiss.

Both Rishabh and Puri are attempting to convince VP emotionally by using the "ex-mother chhod ke chali gayi" card. Rithwik and Palak have already gone thru that. Rithwik should be able to tell VP that Palak will be the last person who would desert him ...and he has witnessed that already in the face of potential death

Similarly, when Palak ultimately gets her senses right, she should be able to say the same thing to convince her own parents about why Rithwik is not the same as what they think him to be
