I don't really think ritwik is over reacting.. except for the engagement night , everything else was just his natural response. It must have taken lot of strength and self fights to trust someone. There must be something in palak that has stirred feelings too deep within him. Nobody has brought such immense and strong emotions from him. His mother has witnessed all of them.
"Raunak" kuch alag hai chehre pe! She has said. Somewhere deep down she knows that palak has made her place in her son's heart.
This is the exact reason why ritwik is the only person who is not able to get over the fact that palak didn't tell him. And , if we we actually see to it , palak did actually break his trust. The one thing he hoped she wont do. The one thing she promised that she would never do.
I hope ritwik will learn to trust again and understand that palak had all good intentions.
