This is some of what is frustrating me atm... and I just needed to get it out of my system. This is not intended to bash any of the awesome actors or even the characters. This is purely my opinion and it is not meant to hurt anyone or attempt to change their opinions in any way.

If I hurt anyone's sensibilities in the process of sharing and relieving my frustrations, I apologize from the bottom of my heart.

That said, if there's anything you wanna add or discuss about the following, I would be happy to indulge in some healthy debates.

Okay... pretty much everyone who's reading my stories at the moment knows that I've stopped watching the show because of the michmichi it causes me. But I've been keeping up with it with the help of WUs... which I'm also gonna stop doing for some time.
I'm so frustrated that something I loved, with actors I love, has turned into a disaster, ruining amazing characters which've been butchered to fit the unreal expectations the CVs think the TRP audiences have.

DBO is fast becoming the epitome of W*F?! and IB is going the same way. There couldn't have been a worse choice made by the CVs than the current fake pregnancy track. It is my personal grievance... I can't stand the thought of someone lying about being pregnant. But I'm sure there are a lot of us out here that hate the thought too! The CVs of IB and DBO seem to love fake pregnancies... at this rate, I'm just waiting for Bhavya to claim that she's pregnant too.

I don't understand Gauri's motivations here. When she knows just how much Omkara hates lies, lying and liars (no matter what sort of a hypocritical idiot he is), why the heck is she burying herself deeper in this pile of lies? There are so many ways she could've tackled the Bua Maa problem... lying about being pregnant due to a drug related loss of control on her husband's part is hardly the best way to go about it.

And now that Omkara has started to get emotionally involved with the child, things are bound for hell in a handbasket for sure. I honestly don't see the advantage of choosing to be mahaan and sacrifice one's chances at happiness for the sake of saving one's husband, when so many other options are open. Literally anything else would've worked better... even confronting Bua Maa about it in front of the entire family couldn't have created this much of a flaming trashfire as the current situation.

I have a feeling this is supposed to make me #TeamOmkara once more, considering the fact that for a while, due to his dickishness, we were all hating on him... Is this stupidity supposed to make me like Omkara better in comparison to Gauri who's being a selfish idiot now? Why does it always have to be choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea? Is it so impossible in the vishwas universe that people could be sensible, weigh their options and go for the most effective but least destructive one? Not even once for God's sake?

Over on IB, Ranveer made the unbelievably stupid, born-without-a-brain Prinku believe that she was pregnant with his child to make sure their wedding happened. And here's our Gauri Kumari Sharma making her husband believe that she is pregnant with his child... in an effort which is somehow designed to save him from Bua Maa's evil intentions. How are the two situations so very different?

Ranveer deservedly got so much bashing about his actions... and Gauri is going to face what? The disappointment of the entire family that she's managed to endear herself to? Break the trust of not just Omkara, but also his entire family? What Gauri is gonna end up doing is way more destructive than the crazy shit Anika pulled on Shivaay a couple of weeks back. Anika broke Shivaay down to a nihilistic, self-destructive robot who still hurts from that incident... for what? Nothing has changed because of what she did... she hasn't achieved anything by turning him against her other than hurt him and herself irreparably in the process. But at least she broke only Shivaay... the rest of the family knows the truth behind her actions.

And Gauri is on that same path. This has the potential to break Omkara beyond belief... is her motivation for this entire drama worth any of the fallout? If you're gonna try to make her case by telling me that her intentions are good... no matter the way she is going about it, well let me tell you something... The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

I find I can no longer take any more crap from Gauri's incredibly flawed plan to save her husband physically while destroying him emotionally. What's the point of keeping someone alive when you're killing them on the inside in the process?

These days, I've taken to commenting crazy but logical crap to keep up with the otherworldly crap that this show keeps on throwing at me. And yet, I'm the one to be blamed for watching the religiously.

Then suddenly the merger bomb gets dropped. I think I gonna give up TV altogether for some time and stick to cricket. At least that thing has decency to some extent with real and logical emotions at play, literally.

I realize now that this post was incredibly well timed... (insert sarcasm here)
The whole forum is yelling at the top of their voices about the merger and here I am, not talking about that at all. 😆

I guess I'm one of those people who doesn't really get affected by this news all that much. I've been watching both shows since I started watching them. I did start with DBO though... I went back and binge watched all the back episodes of IB on Hotstar while I was in India on vacation. Ever since, I've been at least following both shows if not watching them religiously. So for me, this isn't really a big deal.

I've always known that the show I liked, DBO, was the less favored step-child for GulNeet and the PH. This was half-assed right from the beginning... the only thing they managed to do brilliantly, was cast the show. Everything else... not even average. Writing, costumes, dialogues, storyline... everything was just hanging on by the skin of its teeth. In a way, if they finally manage to go back to their original selling point of the OBros and their love lives instead of giving us more Multilana, crazy Bua Maa and her box of horrors, I'd actually be happy with this decision.

But I know I'm in the minority on this one, especially on this forum.

Exactly my thought
Honestly there was no need for Gauri to fake her pregnancy when there were so many other ways to expose bua ma
Simplest is planting a hidden camera in her room and recording all the shit she talks when she is alone
I agree that every show needs drama to survive but that doesn't mean you have to leave behind logic

You are right Gen, but OmRu ahave always been sidelined in the parent show (as quite evident by the MS)

That's what the fandom is scared of: losing our ship to bhaiya and bhabhi.

The one reason I'm willing to give this merger a chance is that in the original hour long IB, while we did get enough and more ShivIka, we also managed to get quite a bit of IshKara and Om-Riddhima, along with RuMya. The audience was quite happy with the original show until they started to sideline OmRu for the sake of the ShivIka story.

With the hope that the PH and creatives have learned from their collective mistakes over the last few months (I can dream can't I?) I hope we get back some of the awesomeness of the original show after the merger

Gauri's character has been taken to the 16th century and butchered to crush every possible bone ... I agree she is adversely impossible ... For me she bacame way too weak to be FL for Om the moment she continued her pati jaap even after he character certified her ... This fake pregnancy is ridiculous ... The writers are making a fool out of themselves ... About Gauri and Omkara I doubt the CVS will ever bring them together as rikara ... He has always disliked and misunderstood her and right now she is giving him a humongous reason to hate her ... Once the shows merge ... It is going to be all about shivika and their family drama with everyone else as puppets ... I am hating it ... Its so unjust for actors ... I am humiliated in the name of the genre of the show!!!
