I used to follow Ishqbaaz initially for Om but the episodes were always over shadowed by Anika & Shivaay there used to be more of them than the Bromance that I loved about the sjhow. So I quit watching it, but when I heard that there was a spin-off that was going to focus on Omkara & Rudra's tracks I thought I'll give it a shot but it was just so disappointing to see what Om has been reduced to? He always despised Tej for his insensitivity, ruthlessness & arrogance that stem-ed from money power but how can he raise questions on him anymore when he is on the same road now?

Few days back Gul posted on insta that Omkara fans had no idea what they were in for? But What is the point in making an entire spin-off for Omkara when everything that he stood out for has been destroyed!

Now he is just another Angry young man and Gauri is just another Mahaan bubbly girl, who is going to physically man-handled & mentally tortured in the name of romance!

Sorry about the rant but I am feeling second hand embarrassment for Gul who cannot think beyond these dimensions!

He is just another MCP. The way Om addressed her and treated her was so Shivaay. Yep Gul is right , we really did have no idea. Actually we gave the Cv's more credit than what they deserve. I am a nincompoop for thinking anything could be different. I am embarrassed by me to be honest.

I sooo agree with you! I find Shrenu pretty and so I thought that maybe I should give Gauri a chance. I also thought that Shrenu acted decentlybut I didn't like the recap, one bit.

I thought gul won't change much of om's character since his character is what his fans love about him. But she butchered it so badly. Remember om's words that he wanted to become shivaay? After seeing the precap i was like congratulations you have become exactly like him.

It was soo disappointing!!

I have no complaints about ShreNal because I find both of them good at their job. The only scene where Shrenu was OTT was when she ran to her mother's aid. The 'Maa' scream was exaggerated (on the whole the editing was shoddy I think) and unwarranted. But I like her and I love Kunal . They just like Surbhi and Nakul will do justice to their characters because they are good at what they do. That does not mean the characters are well written.

What really can we expect from Gul Khan??? I don't think that DBO will get good TRPs. Even IB didn't got trp above 2 when the same scenes were shown btwn Shivika. So why will viewers watch the same scenes and track again????
There's a reason why Om fans are Om fans and not Shivika fans. Omkara was liked for his unique character, what a waste of such a character and turning him into an MCP. Gauri is just an extension of Anika's character and Rikara story is the louder version of Shivika story. If Gul thinks that she can fool the viewers by showing the same copy paste story then she is doing a big mistake.

Now I doubt that Rumya will get proper SS in DBO either unless they are turned into Shivika version 3.0. I've no trust in Gul.

Oh this woman! Does she ever learn.. 5 epic love stories later, she still hasn't gotten her fill of the angry, ruthless ML and the bubbly, loud FL..
