I had been thinking about doing this for a long time. I was getting bored with my look and wanted to change it, but didn't know what to do. The other day, I was shopping at a store, where I was introduced to a stylist, Claribelle, who also does Kareena and Lara's hair. After meeting her, I decided to put myself in her hands and go with her vision. Who was the first person to see the new look?
It had to be my husband, Raj (Kaushal). After the haircut, I invited him to come and have coffee with me. He quite liked my new look, and asked me to keep it.
Thankfully, my two dogs recognised me, which goes to show that it isn't a drastic change. The boys who work with me, also said, 'didi, you're looking different'. How much did the haircut cost?
The streaks are actually hair extensions. I am not to keen on colouring or highlighting my natural hair; I am fond of its natural black colour. The new look cost me Rs 1,200. Do you regret cutting off your long hair?
The whole process was very therapeutic for me, and I am enjoying my new look. Claribelle decided not to cut my hair too short, but to keep it layered. I think I am already a new person with this look — it has even changed my mindset. |
