So the to be bride's brother works at a high position in the archeological department

yes i think he might be their for long time, he might become there friend or tara friend if he thinks that tara time travelled and after all they need a banda to make dhruv jealous.Well anyways he might be a helping hand because still they dont know how to go back to 17th centuary and come back
