How would you describe Aarti's personality?
Aarti is very straight forward and knows how to deal with people. I believe that these are her best qualities.
How similar is Neeta to Aarti?
Like Aarti, I too am very determined to complete whatever I take up. However, I am fun loving and have a happy disposition unlike Aarti who is serious all the time.
How different is this role from your previous work on TV?
I can confidently say that this is my best role till date. The costumes and makeup are very realistic. I can connect with whatever is happening with Aarti and that is what I enjoy the most.
What are the strengths of your political party?
We are not as strong as NNT's party but I am proud that my party gives importance to being truthful. We have a lot of youngster in our party who are completely dedicated to their jobs.
What's your take on Chander as a budding politician?
Chander is very good at his work. I am impressed that he even went to the extent of risking his like to get justice in the Indu-Ramesh murder case. It is commendable that he so dedicated towards the causes he takes up.
How are you preparing for the elections with a rival like Abhishek Tewari in the opposition?
I am gearing up for the elections as are my party workers. We know that Abhishek is planning to create trouble for us but this has not deterred us and we are hoping to defeat him.
What do you like about Alka and Chander's relationship?
I would say that I have mixed feelings about them as a couple. I am friendly with both but sometimes, I don't like seeing them together. Even, I am not sure about my feelings for them.
Describe Aarti's dressing style?
Aarti's does not like dressing up, just wearing a simple kurti and skirt is her style. Being a politician, she does not have time to experiment with her look. Even the hair is just tied up. Overall, the look is very real.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion means being comfortable in whatever you wear. You cannot be fashionable without feeling confident about your look.
How do you maintain your curly hair?
I use some special products that help me to maintain my frizzy hair. Catwalk by Tigi products suit my hair best. Recently the products were out of stock and I went crazy (laughs).
What tips you would give your fans regarding maintaining curly hair?
Curly hair tends to get dry so wash your hair often. Applying a leave in conditioner or serum helps to manage them better. Another tip is to treat yourself with oil massages often, as it really helps.
Who according to you is the most stylish politician in India?
I admire Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's style. They are simple but stylish. Rahul looks good in his kurta-pyjamas while Priyanka looks cool in cotton saris.
Tell us about one politician you admire and why?
It has to be President Barack Obama. He has achieved so much at such a young age. When he visited India, it was heartening to see him interacting with the common people. He is one politician who can really connect with people.
