I better list out what's good in DV rather than bad as it makes my list shorter you see 😛

First thing is obviously the actors.

Secondly I must say I find the turmoil Nivritti and Pari are facing is really well brought out 😳 Now I don't mean here that they should always show them throwing off dialouges depicting their evergreen "mamta" on their son.But still this track does some good to the serial.

Harsh-Sia :hehe nope me doesn't love them as a pair but I've noticed from past few episodes that they are really making 'it' up.It's quite refreshing to see Sia sulking and feeling repentful than throwing her tantrums everywhere possible.

So from the present feeble track these were the only things I could classify as good.
If I were to consider yesterday;s episode I can't understand what the problem with this Veer guy is.Now come on we want to see Dharam and Veer as friends, brothers and at the same time ready to accept challenges from the world. But but this Veer ...he acts as a slave as if he was brought up only to become Dharam's shadow and always protect him 🤢 Whoever put that silly thing into his brainless head I want both of them to be equally matched not unequally mismatched. If they show Veer capable of doing heroic things then Dharam suffers a set back and vice versa. Why can't they think anything above this? 😕

oh no no that is right.. what you are saying is right... there were many casts/classes and they are showing only two.. your point is right.. the class system originally started because some wise men thought it would work best for society... even today i personally feel because of environment/bringing up + genetic effects some classes are very good at business while others at skill while others at education etc....

however the system which originally was built because "people thought it would be best for society" was later an enforcement.

even if a shudra was adept at a skill he couldnt do it because he was a shudra.. even if he was intelligent enough he wouldnt be allowed entry into school or allowed to do business.. even if eklavya was excellent at archery he couldnt directly train under drona (apart from arjuns jealousy ofcourse) so that is all enforcement and taking away people's basic rights..

hence that is caste system taking the form of slavery and this existed in almost EVERY society... even the greatest greatest ones (far greater than any Indian civilizations, like the Egyptians and the Roman had slavery as part of them)

i searched up for slavery and ancient India and it has indeed been very prominent in our history .. I learnt quite a few interesting facts...

below is just a small paragraph i picked up from the net

Slavery has existed in India since the time of the Mauryas at least. However, since Indian society has throughout been subject to the strictly-enforced caste system, the differences between those in the lowest caste and the lot of the slaves are not very great and, in some cases, it may have been better to be a slave. For example, a low caste person had to work constantly to obtain food and water while slaves occasionally (although not very often) could have time off from work. Laws also existed as to what sort of treatment it was permitted to use with slaves: they could be beaten on the back but not the head. No one can minimize the misery of being enslaved and it is almost certain that many masters were able to disregard these kinds of rules but, nevertheless, at least some structure of protection were provided. These were supplemented by both Hindu and Buddhist precepts, which will also have been influential in affecting the behaviour of some people.
It was also possible for free-born Indians to become slaves, perhaps through a court decision after having committed a serious crime. Others might be enslaved as a result of war or trafficking but it was also possible for people to put themselves up for enslavement. They could put their freedom at stake as surety for a cash loan or for a gambling stake. However, enslavement need not be permanent. A financial arrangement could be made in these cases but, if worst came to worst, slaves were allowed one chance to try to escape and, if they managed to get away, they were permitted to claim their freedom permanently.

If you talk about slavery.......... yes it existed since times immemorial in Indian society........!!

However I disagree with what you wrote about caste promotion Shraddy
Please let me quote Manu-smriti here (explained in simpler words.offcourse!!)
"In the early Vedic times different members, belonging to one family, used to undertake different occupations of Chaturvarna(four castes) according to their inclinations and ability. Each member of a family was at liberty to adopt any profession he/she liked best without any obligation."...........
"While studying our scriptures, one can find that many distinguished sages of ancient times could not trace their birth to any decent origin. But it was their qualities and actions that can better be summed up in one word 'character' which placed them in an elevated position in the Hindu society and lifted them even to the rank of highly venerated Rishis.......... an example would be Valmiki!!"

I would attribute the unjust points of caste system, to not the Hindu culture's roots, but to the later manipulations by the powers that be later on. And where Eklavya was concerned, Drona was on oath with Arjun's grandpa, Bhishma to not let anyone be a better arch's man than him

About DV....... I am quite tired with the duplicate topics for debate? Wasn't the topic posted before, that said"DV lacks originality....." a real brother to this one?????? . I said what I had to in that one...... And it doesn't make sense to me to repeat whatever I said .... 😕 AGAIN 😕

It was mentioned in one or 2 posts.....so I decided to clarify with what I thought was correct....... I was certainly not the one who pioneered it

I agree!!! I hated to see veer always being the one portrayed as the all powerful all encompassing entity while poor dharam was reduced to being a mere powerless puppet who cannot fight his own fights....

They should give equal importance to dharam and veer and shouldn't let veer hog all the limelight
