Is Ravi supposed to be a bit slow-witted

I have only seen 4 episodes of this show at various moments, because it never managed to hold my attention. But I don't know if it is just those particular episodes, or if it is generally like this - is Ravi a little slow? Like a little dumb?

In each episode, he seems to be away in the clouds somewhere.

Can regular viewers please tell me?

Totally agree with you. Ravi is a thoroughly layered and complex character. He is in fact much more real than most other male leads in itv shows.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't remember the episode numbers. But I guess they haven't been enough to understand the characters.

Okay here's the thing, watch the show from the beginning and try to understand the gravity of the trauma he's going through.

If you have a clear idea of how Ravi Randhawa as a ckt is, then I can swear upon how you wouldn't have said this about him, like no he's not slow.

Ravi is not a typical Ekta male lead, he's a ckt with so many layers and shades, that are yet to be explored. At this point, he's just giving into his manipulative family because he's guilt-stricken, and if you can watch the episodes properly, then you would've understood why.

he is manipulated and forced by his family for now or else once he had given courageous speech to pratiksha and made her brave

Your passionate defense of Ravi made me go watch more episodes, and I am sorry to say I find this character as pathetic as I had suspected!! He forcefully married Prateeksha, to take revenge for his suspicion (which I am sure will turn out to be his misunderstanding!!) that she was responsible for his fiancée's death!!! 👏👏 If this is not toxic, what is?? And I also saw the episode where the whole family is yelling that they will not let Prateeksha enter their house. When his Dadi insists on doing the rasam, and Kavya loses it, he actually tries to tell Kavya, don't let these small rasams make you think that this marrriage means anything, let Dadi do it to make herself happy. WHAT THE WHAT?? This is an inspirational character?? 🤪

Now please don't tell me it was the shock of losing his fiancée. That does not make any of this okay!
