Well, I had to scoure several posts to find this one written by you 3 days ago... I think Devi Parvati's contempt for Jalandhar stems from his committing the unforgivable offence of kidnapping her when she was in an ostensibly vulnerable state, trying to regain her memory...In contrast, Lohitang was manipulated and his mind poisoned by a vile Andhak when he was just a little child, unable to tell right from wrong... So whatever atrocities he committed, he didn't do it just to destroy the Trinity and establish himself as superior to them... According to him, he was only avenging the deaths of Aadi ,Andhak, Shankachud and Tulsi, all of which he deemed unfair... Jalandhar, on the other hand, started out by avenging his mother's vicious death at the hands of an insecure Indra, hence he was justified in dethroning him and taking his place after vilifying him... He lost the plot thereafter and went on to challenge the trinity only to soothe his massively inflated ego... Lohitang held the trinity directly responsible for the misfortunes that befell him in his lifetime... Jalandhar's war was never supposed to be directly with the trinity... Yet he tried to use parvati as leverage in his battle with mahadev... When Andhak set his lustful eyes upon Parvati, she retorted by taking on the Mahakali avatar... She probably would've killed him had Mahadev not intervened in the battle to save his life and give him a second chance... If someone compares Andhak with Jalandhar, i'll definitely side with Jalandhar 'cause he was a saint compared to Andhak and absolutely deserved a second chance to start life afresh...But if you compare Jalandhar with Lohitang, I think Lohitang gets the upper hand...As disgusted as i am with the impertinence of the makers for showing highly distorted versions of certain stories in the show, I seek consolation in the fact that almost all of them have met a plausible end (except of course, the sati rahasya track... Forget the end, even the premise on which it was based and the way it began and progressed made no sense to me whatsoever...)

Really curious to know what a one sided fanfiction is.Dkdm's creative team is famous for creating fanfictions which have distorted the puranas. So less chances of UN getting influenced by someone else's writing😛
Moreover it would be a change to see Rajnikantish Parvati rather than the elusive Manmohan Singh+Professor Binns like Mahadev😛As far as KK is concerned, there was hardly much role for Shiva to play.So the bias towards one entity is pretty much ruled out.On contrary,Meenakshi and Annapurna stories have given Shiva a bit more significance even though they are Shakti centric stories

@bold... but Jalandhar had realised his faults had'nt he..?? so wat was the real point of keeping this grudge form Parvati's side... even Naarad had a sad face when Jalandhar was dying..but wat Parvati had on her face contempt coupled with extreme vanity and this is somethng that none of us associate with a Jagatmata...nd Lohitaang was simply privileged..!! it seemed that Mahadev had learnt how to deal with his anshes post his disasterous relationship beginning with Jalandhar ( I am talking abt the accidental sons)

well, i think that the tulsi shaligram katha is the vaishnava version of the jalandhar story. isn't it guys?
