Entire Universe is due to Shiv- Shakti union.

I read up the story about Kanya Kumari. But am confused...was she an avatar of Ma Parvati? And if Shakti took birth as KK, did Parvati reincarnate as her - as in Parvati left Kailash (like the Matsya story)and came on earth?
KK remained unmarried till the end...so then Parvati waapas nahi gayi to Kailash?!

Can someone please enlighten me?

Several years ago as a little kid I had gone to Kanya Kumari and we had visited the temple as well. 😃

Now I am intrigued by the new track, but apprehensive about how they will show it!

I hope they show some positive ending...cannot bear to see Shiv and SHakti apart 😭

Hmmm... You've got a point there ... But according to many websites, this how Kraucha's story goes ----

Krauncha was one of the lieutenants of the asura Taraka, who was the younger brother of Surapadma. Krauncha used to assume the form of a mountain, with many paths leading to it. When passers-by, particularly sadhus and sages, came near, Krauncha would kill them. The sage Agastya, who was travelling near the mountain, avoided the fate of the other sages by intuitively understanding ahead of time the danger of going near Krauncha. He cursed the asura, telling him that he would have to remain in the shape of the mountain until he was destroyed by the vel of Murugan.

When Murugan led the deva army on his southward march to attack Surapadma, he encountered Krauncha en route and destroyed him with his vel. Krauncha represents the mount of karma that cannot be moved or destroyed by any force other than the vel, the jnana-sakti of the Lord. Surapadma represents the ego and the state of ignorance in general. Both have to be eradicated by the 'glance of grace'.

Krauncha Giri is believed to be located in 10 km from Sandur in Bellary District of Karnataka. The mountain is elliptical in shape with a diametric narrow pass. According to legend, this gap is made during the battle with the demon Tharaka by Kartikeya who threw his 'vel' and pierced the mountain to kill the demons who were hidden inside mountain.

nd Lohitaang was simply privileged..!! it seemed that Mahadev had learnt how to deal with his anshes post his disasterous relationship beginning with Jalandhar ( I am talking abt the accidental sons)

@bold
I'm not sure what exactly Jalandhar's last words to Mahadev were but if he did realize his faults, then that realization dawned upon him a tad late 'cause by then, he had already been mortally wounded by Shiva's trishul... Besides, I'd say that Jalandhar & Lohitang used entirely different approaches to get back at Mahadev (definitely doesn't take away from the fact that they both caused considerable destruction all around)... So, Shiva also had to resort to diametrically opposite techniques to set them right... You might remember that when Adi-shakti showed up at the battlefield, though Jalandhar was initially stunned upon seeing her there, he quickly regained his senses & when he saw that Mahadev was looking in the direction of Devi Parvati, he thought that Mahadev was distracted , he tried to use the "perceived" distraction & drew his sword to attack Mahadev ... Mahadev then broke his charge & foiled his attack & lunged his trident at him... Only after that did Jalandhar realize his misdeeds...
Whereas Lohitang , though equally vituperative of Mahadev , chose a completely different approach to defeat him... He had realized that he would never be able to destroy Mahadev with weapons or anything else for that matter, so he devised an innovative plan to mesmerize him with music & trap him in a hypnotic trance for infinity...
I agree with you that Lohitang was given many a chance to cast away his negativity & embrace the positivity with which he was born & make his life worthwhile... The same cannot be said about Jalandhar... Here, I also agree with what @sidspolz said how both of them were born under different circumstances ...hence, the different treatment, I guess

^^ rinall parents do not distinguish between their kids accidental or planned.. for that matter i agree with every word of urs that the approaches they chose to get back to their Origin were different.. but in both the cases the distraught sons realised their mistakes.. my cause of grievance is Parvati's reaction in both the cases...a dying man deserves compassion despite the sins he had committed.. thts why Gods are called Karunanidhi and Parvati failed misreably..!!

😲oh,so basically kronch was a demon who used to take the form of a mountain to disturd the passers-by, who later on got the recognition as a mountain , it means actually and factually he had no direct-connection wiith the himavan-family biologically.but yes,we all guessed it right about kartikeya,as mahadev also indicated that kartikeya and ganesh will have pivotal roles to play in the upcoming ghatnakram, as finally the kronch-problem will be solved by kartikeya😊

@rinall - Thanks for the legend.
So I was right, Kraunch is certainly not the brother of Goddess Parvati, at least not as per the real texts.

[/QUOTE😲yes,but a point for parvati not showing much sympathy towards jallu than in case of lohu might be that in case of jallu, there was a personal loss for parvati,as he tried to kidnap her but no such problem from lohu, except for that lohu ne apne mastermind sharyantron se sabke naakh mein dum kar rakkhe the.😉
