It is good they not only cast MR but also helped him hone himself as a fine actor.

It's a big compliment for any actor when his producer says he'd rather close the show than replace him or won't be able to accept replacement even if audience accepted replacement! What a wonderful professional bond they share!👏

So glad that Mr. Nikhil Sinha got to review the folder for the Daksh role and picked Mohit Raina as Mahadev. He's the soul of DKDM and there's no way it can work with another actor at this time...

Shocked to read Mohit auditioned for Daksh he is too young to have even considered doing that role.
I agree that Daksh was powerful and would have been a great choice for a role but for an older actor and Surendra Pal had nailed it.
But good Nikhil spotted the talent in Mohit and rest as they is history. Terrific interview. 😊

Nikhil sir might have said he did not want to cast old actors but DKDM brought back some of the best among senior actors be it Pankaj Dheer, Surendra Pal or Sudesh Berry and that actor...I always forget his name...the one who played Asurs king in DKDM and is famous for role of Krud Singh in Chandrakanta?

The seniors are there in this serial and did a swell job.

I agree when he calls them costume drama and not mytho per se. This show often takes creative liberties, has glamorised gods and shows gods with all moods and expressions unlike mythos of past. Often DKDM comes across as a soap with the difference being that characters are having great supernatural powers.

I was shocked to read that Mohit auditioned for the Role of Daksh. And very happy to know that after countless auditions Nikhil Sinha sir picked up the folder containing Mohit's audition. And chose him.
