Mohit thank you for making me loving you for who you are thank you for doing DKDM and most of all thank you for acting as Jallandar and for making me go nuts abt you. And lastly A big kiss for paring up with Mouni and for encating each scene so wonderfully I loved watching the two of you so many times that I had to expain myself to everyone at home as to why I was watching each episode atleast a million times everyday. You two were just perfect and made everything so perfect and magical I will love the two of you for a very very long time.

I was never into fandom. Not of any TV actor at all. I wasn't that fond of any serials either. My favourites are the ones from 90s only. In mythological shows, I felt Indian television had lost it after 2000! I must admit, I laughed when I saw promos of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, with you as Lord Shiva. Frankly speaking, I thought you were an absolute miscast for a role as important and larger than life as Mahadev. Also Mahadev is far from glamour in the way He is thought to be, in religion and mythology. So I felt even more that you were too glamorous for this role. Either ways, I thought DKDM would end up as a costume drama with models playing Gods!
Funnily at that time I wasn't aware that you had been a model once! 😆 I was not even acquainted with your previous work on TV. I just felt you were a statuesque "model type" hunk dabbling in TV!

Initially, I found you shaky and out of place as Mahadev. And honestly, YOU were the reason why I did not watch this show regularly after an initial try.

Gradually, the quality of other shows in same 8 PM slot seemed to be debatable and I'd look for alternatives. Meanwhile the occasional promos of DKDM on Star Plus began to entice me. I again decided to give a try to this show. I watched its repeat telecast, particularly on weekends when nothing else was on. I kept watching it sporadically. Your portrayal as Mahadev seemed to be improving with each episode and my perception of you began to change.

Then came the sheer kickass Jalandhar promos! I admit it was the visual quality and the "Mahadev ka Mahashatru" tagline that caught my attention. I had not known much about Jalandhar. So I was really curious who this character was! Plus you looked out of the world as Jalandhar! 😉

That's when it all started. From repeat telecasts and catching up on marathon episodes on weekends, I left all other shows on 8 PM and watched only DKDM. My family was also fond of mythologicals but disliked new age shows. But they also got intrigued by Jalandhar and Mahadev.

So it began! Each day, we'd marvel how you easily alternated between personalities as diverse and unalike as Jalandhar and Mahadev! Your controlled body language, your voice modulation, your growing command over language and pronounciation, your fine, subtle and versatile expressions, your ability to convey emotion in the most controlled manner even through your eyes...this EVOLUTION as an actor, this growing mastery of craft as an artiste was amazing! 👏

Even when the show would drag or take too many creative liberties or at times look filmy, it was YOU, who kept me hooked and made me keep returning to it. Your performance, your dedication and commitment to excellence has never taken a dip even though the other aspects of this show might have gone wrong at times!

I joined DKDM forum and your fan clubs on India Forums. I learnt more about you, your work, your personality and your interviews. And my admiration only grew! 😊

You are such a nation-wide and global phenomenon as Mahadev yet you're so humble, calm, composed and no-nonsense. It's nice to see that you take all the fan following and worship of people in a matter of fact manner. You never tried to take advantage of your Mahadev image in any way.

Your journey from failures and struggles, from being written off, from taking a long time to gain audience acceptance to this sheer phenomenon that you are now, and among the best actors of Indian television - is inspirational, eye opening, humbling and AMAZING! 👏

For me, you not only embody perfect looks but also a perfect character! Your offscreen persona, well mannered disposition, disciplined conduct, respect in your team, humble, simple and sweet conduct with fans - is extraordinary and RARE!

You exemplify what a man can accomplish through hardwork, patience, determination, discipline, focus and perseverance. Anyone in your place could have gotten discouraged or mishandled one's career, sticking to some silly roles in useless serials just to be a part of entertainment industry.

But you truly turned the tide! Not only in your own life but also whole of television, as mythologicals again became popular and first time, a male actor on TV became a sensation who carried the show on his own shoulders! Otherwise, we know what male actors are reduced to, since era of saas bahu or luv-shuv shows.

You, dear Mohit Raina, proved the saying wrong that TV is male dominated and men have nothing to do here! ⭐️

It's a great feeling to see you get noticed and feted by film magazines and Bollywood celebrities also, along with colleagues, contemporaries and even rivals on TV! Every time you make headlines nationally or internationally, every time you get an award or win a poll or make it to a power list, it feels so proud as if it were our own achievement! 👍🏼

You're already in the Hall of Fame on Indian television. Just as people remember the faces of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, BR Chopra's Mahabharat, Ramanand Sagar's Sri Krishna and Dheeraj Kumar's Om Namah Shivay, same way people for generations, will remember you as Mahadev! ⭐️

In contemporary era, it is YOU who gave a "face", a "likening" to associate Mahadev with.
