With Sona's role as Parvati ending in DKDM one of the better phases has also ended in DKDM.
Nothing remains even Mahadev looks like he is just going through the motions.

The show will go on as long as they derive the trp for this show it will pull on because it is the only show that is driving the channel.

Okay, I just saw all of this week's episode in last night's 8pm re-run, and it was just awful!!! I didn't get the point about Parvati being there - be it Pooja or Sona. Their roles just looked pretty lame.

And about Mahadev, well, we've all commented on that in the WUs - how him being artificially inserted into this story looks really odd.

Even during the heyday of DkDM, we were cribbing that Adi Shakti was not given enough prominence, but now with the focus of the story well and truly shifted out of Kailash, can we hope any substantial role for Pooja?

Sonarika must have questioned about her role and it being reduced to being in sidelines may be of the reasons she must have had to go.
Pooja being new will not have any problems till the time she gets used to the role.

We have to accept that show is focusing on Mahadev and any other character to get a decent footage or portrayal is out of question.
We can question the stories but the bottom line is the whole focus is Mahadev and will stay there.

Actually, Ganesh has gotten very decent coverage, for someone who's a major, but certainly not central character in this story. Look at how every story of him - right up to his wedding - was gloriously covered. If only the same had been done for Parvati & Kartikeya.

Oh, and Vishnu too. Now, they're busy re-writing the Ramayan to be a Mahadev-centric story, but earlier, they were distorting events where Mahadev actually prevailed over Vishnu. For instance, in Daksha's yagna, Vishnu was actively trying to protect him, and Veerbhadra knocked him unconscious. That's totally different from what they showed, where they showed Vishnu tying up Veerbhadra & Mahakali releasing him. Or the Vrishabh story, where Vishnu was actually defeated by Mahadev, but where they showed it as a stalemate.

At any rate, I doubt that we'll see any Mahadev stories anymore. The CVs have been sucked into doing a Ramayan for god knows what reason. And they'll probably want to follow it up directly w/ the Mahabharat, to prevent a TRP drop. Only that I expect the TRPs to tank when they're next out. Those who follow it for its mytho value will be turned off, and those who follow it for the star attraction would be turned off at Sonarika's exit. So who else is left?

Many Mohit fans who watch it for him only Vrish. They don't care about the stories and what is shown.
Lap up anything that is served as long as there is a strong dose of Mohit.
That is what the PH also believes I guess since they so conveniently did away with Sonarika and got a new face in her place after a year.

But fans are usually discerning - they wouldn't want Mohit to be cast opposite someone who does not sparkle. And even a good % of Mohit-only fans would leave if they see a deterioration in the actress opposite him. I recall DBSK, where there was a big fan of Vishal Karwal (Krishna) from his previous serial. When Priya Bhatija (Rukmini) left the show, he too was gone - didn't like what was left, even though he was a Vishal fan.

Multiply that, and you have a trend.
